Just watched Damo's performance again and it was FANTASTIC! Truly, he wasn't as into it and relaxed as his other performances but it was still bloody good! A LOT of steps, moves and lifts in there too! I also watched Manu's performance (and judges comments) and I stand by what I said earlier. Not a lot of dancing, not a bad performance but not better than Damien's ... definitely not 9's. But hey, he's the one to beat so this'll just fire Damien & Mel up for next week!

I believe Damien's got the chops to last the comp as he is one of the best - if not THE best but I guess he was on the bottom 3 because people thought he'd be safe and didn't vote for him... BIG MISTAKE PEOPLE! The good ones are often the unsafe ones for that reason! So remember to VOTE! VOTE VOTE VOTE Please, can I watch it again?? To tell you the truth, I didn't notice any fluff-ups... maybe it was when DD2 stood in front of the tv but what i did see looked fun! Elements of Peter Allen in the Rio moves Lol. Poor Damien looked like he was trying to hide his disappointment though at the end. Good to see he wasn't making any excuses for any mistakes saying that he was pretty tired but saying that they're all tired and brushing it off... no mention of all that flying in the last 2 days or the neck strain. Yes, sounds like the "Celebration" event for him and we know how that ended on the next competition day Mind you - I really loved 'Celebration' complete with dance It's actually a good thing for D to get a lesser score tonight. It'll remind viewers that Damien is a learner and the producers are really expecting so many tricks that are very complex. It shows that he had to work bloody hard to get the scores of the last 2 weeks! Audience expectations can be unreasonable too. And with things like the lifts - they're totally fraught with danger for both the professionals and the amateur "Star" dancer. I can still remember the video of Australian Kym Johnson's fall in the US dwts last week with her football partner. Scary-Ouch!! (btw She continued and got 10's this week) Mel seems to be a shrewd teacher of dance and I'm sure wouldn't try anything they're not ready for. She'd train him up gradually to build strength and balance... But it's like kids in playgrounds... we just keep our I'm really happy for them to just be themselves, be entertaining, show great skill and have fun because that's the best and most contagious part. All criteria ticked for tonight, then Job well done tonight Damien

Got home only half an hour before the show started (Perth time). Felt too nervous to jump online & see what you were all talking about. then I couldn't help myself, so I took a little peek then Got scared again. The show was almost starting so I sat down to watch. My initial reaction was that it was a lot more awkward than his first two dances. After the show, I had to watch the replay several times, before I could make comment. But in playback it wasn't as bad (not that it was actually bad!! ) as I had first thought For a beginner he was fantastic. As they said, the 3rd week blues had set in for most of them, and injuries. So I'd say it was a pretty even playing field. Except for the uphill battle to compete against the Ch.7 media machine. I will continue to review the footage over the coming week. Such hard work!

Thought everything D did was fine apart from some tension and restriction of movement in his neck and shoulders....hmmmm funny thing that......he was actually doing some very complicated footwork Todd and certainly warranted more than a 5. Have watched Manu more than once now and find the best dance of the night is a showcase of the pro, not Manu....between lifts, catches and walks there wasn't much of a dance from him....definitely not 3 nines. So the agenda is certainly out in the open now for all to see....a shame....Jan didn't deserve to go and Lara definitely wasn't bottom 2 material....okay not saying any more apart from dwts I am disappointed, thought you may have been legit....oh yeah JH is a screamer and have never likes Blunt....c'est la guerre

I checked on here before watching last night so I was bit worried, but I thought Damien was fantastic again, not as good as first 2 weeks but better than Todd's low score. And 3 9's for Manu how did that happen.

I am in agreeance with most of the comments. I think Damien did really well. You could see the disappointment at the end (all over his face). Gosh and how nice and modest is he. I did not agree with the judges scoring, Damien was not a 5 and I don't think Manu was 3 9's either. But it was week 3, and there were many who were tired too. Its a hell of a lot of work. Hope that Damiens neck strain improves. And yes Nuffy we must all keep voting its so important. Get behind him and Mel! As for JH, a screamer or what.........

When interviewed on Sunrise this morning and asked who would be in the final, Jan answered she thought it would be Manu, DAMIEN and Lara. Nice to hear that from one of his fellow contestants Damien did such an amazing performance last week when he scored 9 9 9, and to my amateur eye he looked like he could be a professional himself, he was so good and really worked it leading the dance. Really looking forward to the coming weeks and seeing him shine even more - how good is it going to be! Also how brave are the female dancers!! It amazed me how Mel just took a flying leap from the top step ( & what looks like a slippery surface) in high high heels - it was all so fast you almost can't even see how she flew through the air so smoothly for Damien to catch her. They make it look so easy, and it must be insanely difficult over years to be able to learn this sort of thing!

Finally have time to get on here!! I think Damien looked a little unsure this week, I imagine he had a lot less time to practice and there was less acting in this week's dance which probably has helped him to get over his nerves and forget about his feet in the past!! However, he did in no way deserve a 5 from Todd - I think the 7 & 8 were very fair........ to have such variation on the panel shows that something was amiss?? Manu, I actually like watching him dance too, as he always looks so confident, but his partner was certainly going at a million miles an hour to make the dance look good, while he was just doing fairly simple steps! I felt terrible for Damien being in the bottom 3, but as they said they were IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER he could have actually been the top scorer and you would never know! What pain for our boy though!! However, it might help voters to up the ante a bit!! ;D Shims, further from your comments regarding Jan Stephenson, I saw in today's West Australian newspaper she is quoted as saying that she hopes Damien Leith takes home the prize. "I like to see the people that really work hard and so I would like to see Damien win - he works really hard and he's still got a career and he's accomplished," she said. "The people that haven't really done anything, it's not that impressive to me, it's supposed to be about people who have actually done something... not models or whatever." A bit of sour grapes there, I would say, but loving the fact she has picked out Damien as he fave!!

It's nice to read Jan recognises Damien's hard work and dedication, and wants him to win! ;D But I agree aswell Tina, a bit of sour grapes there definitely. Espesh when she was saying "Obviously Australia weren't getting behind me" blah blah blah after she got eliminated.

I think she was just gobsmacked that she went before Brynne .. or Occhy, for that matter. The comments around nationality were unfortunate from her, I agree, and so unnecessary, but in my view, she has a reason to be surpised because she gave it good shot..and many people said so.Dancing meant a great deal to her as well It's great that she has said she wants Damien to win, especially because of his work ethic. Never a truer word!

Yes,. I too was disappointed in Jan's interviews in the papers but impressed that she would like Damien to win. Wouldn't we all!
Don't know if this has been posted elsewhere as haven't looked everywhere (busy day) but apparently Samantha Armytage tweeted today:
"Damien Leith says he'll spray tan that Irish lily white body AND wax his chest if there's enough Twitter support. C'mon Tweeps. Do it DL x"
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

Glawz, didn't Samantha tweet that on the night of the show? I replied to it on the night on twitter. Damien obviously didn't do it! thank goodness, he looks fine just the way he is!! ....well maybe a light tan if he had to wouldn't hurt! but not necessary at all! ;D

I was surprised to read Jan's comments. I missed her teary exit as my tape cut out before the show finished. I don't think she's doing herself any favours and to me it does sound like sour grapes. No matter what reason they are all on there, they all have an equal shot IMO. I was very disappointed to read what she said actually, I mean she's mentioned Brynne but Manu is French and Damien Irish so it's not nice which ever way you look at it. Also she has been spending time with these guys and now she's belittling them for not "doing anything" "just being models" ..not a good look Jan. BUT what she said about D was awesome! (and true of course!) I've watched back Damien's and Manu's performance's and can see where D lost the place there for a while (only after watching it about 5 times!) but he still did a full on routine with a great catch (of Mel) at the start and a really nice lift turn in there as well. Todd's score was ridiculous. Moreso because of Manu's score. Watching Manu a few times as well..he really didn't do much, and he also missed some steps in the middle as well. I found it interesting listening to the judges comments after Damien's 999 performance and then listening to the judges (non)comments after Manu's 999 performance....very telling. So looking forward to next week! It's running me ragged the suspense leading up to Sundays now!

Is there any chance of Youtubing Damien's performances? Especially last week's sexy foxtrot performance..with judges comments? I see there are quite a few being youtubed and I'd love to see that one out there for the masses!

I just found a few of her comments, like you said, a bit unnecessary, that's all. I too thought Brynne and Occy would go before her.
