Saw the ad for next week this morning....no surprises that Manu appears more than most. No mention of D's perfect score..no intimation that he even got a perfect score.  Interestingly they are saying that the contestants get an hour before the show to "learn their steps" ..I am wondering if this just means they get the music an hour before so they can practise their dance (that they are learning during the week) to the music OR does it mean they have to do the whole thing an hour before? I can't see how that would be even possible so I am hoping it's the former.  Manu tweeted that the casting for next series of MKR is about to close soon... I can picture the ads for this show already...big splashes of Manu winning DWTS... Now now, Negative Nelly,   how about we picture Damien holding aloft his well-earned Mirror Ball Trophy instead, hmmm? ;D The one hour to practice the "instant dance" makes sense, to me Smiley. Can't see how they could do it, otherwise. |

Hey Smiley, wash your typing hand . I have already imagined Damien holding aloft the mirrorball trophy at the Enmore Theatre  The only way that Manu will be holding it is when he looks longingly at it, puts one hand on it, the other on his heart and weeps ...................this could have been miiiiiiiiiiine  The contestants are probably brushing up on a few styles this week, so that when they get their music they can say straight away, OK Jive or whatever the dance will be. I thought it was the music they were bing given at the last moment. I haven't seen any ads, so I will go with what you are saying Smiley. This will test them. |

Ha ha..I stand corrected * Naughty Smiley  What I should have said was that they are imagining the ads for the new series of MKR ... I am really confuzzled about what the challenge is..Kylie said they get their music just before the show..so I was thinking they are told they have a say, paso, and they work up their routine to a beat then get their actual music just before..but that doesn't really work does it....As it depends on where in the (truncated) music the different elements of the song fall So being told an hour before the show they have to do a Jive to "x" music then being given an hour to rehearse is more likely. I wonder does that mean that the person who goes last has more time to rehearse..surely not..they'd have to stagger the times they give out the info to them all. (sorry..I sound like I'm obsessing but I love to chat about "what can it be?") I hope they aren't going to rob Damien & Mel of the chance to do a properly rehearsed Paso & Waltz! |

Surely he won't get first again. Anyway, I have ultimate faith in Mel as a teacher  and Damo as a student  ...in this challenge, in particular, I think they will SHINE!   |

I mentioned in teh Hut that I may not get to see this on Sunday. We are going to Tas. and I don't think DD can get Ch7 up on the mountain In any case have arranged for DD1 to txt me the scores, and the elimination etc... and she's going to record it for me. Hoping I'm wrong... maybe it's Ch9 they can't get?   |

Aw, I feel for you. Would hate to be missing out or even seeing it late ..at this stage of the comp!!
So via twitter, I have gleaned that Lara is doing a waltz this week.
Based on dances by everyone so far these are the one's left so far for each of them:
Damien: Waltz, Viennese Waltz, Rumba, Paso
Manu: Samba, Waltz, Tango, Paso
Lara: Samba, Waltz, Rumba, Tango
Hayley: Samba, Waltz, Quickstep, Tango
Sam: Samba, Waltz, Arg Tango, Paso

I would love to see Damien do a waltz. I thnk he would just glide over the floor. The reason I don't want Damien to go first in the Mystery dance is because the others might crash and burn and yet I am expecting big things from Damien, so it should make him look good after their efforts. This is all wishful thinking of course  |
