Viennese Waltz: www.youtube.com/watch?v=rcvEumNnsUgPaso: (complete with crappy music!!) www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ZaddHIpJ-YAnd having now watched all the dancing I really can't believe MFU got 9 for his paso - he hardly danced at all! A few steps (very stiff) here and there and stand still while Alana drapes herself on him while he looks 'manly'. OMG...... Hee, run the paso's in 2 windows side by side (muy interesante) .....

I played the manu & Damien videos side by side like you suggested Smiley (thanks for the youtube vids Kath!) and really, there's no comparison. Even though D&M's look like a classic Black & White special (due to the monochromatic lighting plus subdued colouring of Mel's otherwise gorgeous dress ) it's obvious that no amount of flashy lighting could make Manu's dance half as exciting as D&M's. The choreography was much more complex for both D&M whereas Manu's was quite stompy (note the technical term ) with Alana having to do all the hard work... and he got a 9 from while D got a 5 Agree that it's okay to let go of the now because it's so obvious that the producers are playing games to make it look like they are equally good... expect a 10 for Manu soon Yup! We can't change the show so I plan to just enjoy Damien's dances for all this bonus time too. I really hope he wins though, after all the hours they've put in Lol I can't guarantee to not scream & at the tv if Toad says such nasty stuff again like he did right through the night (except to Manu & Hayley) I'm not a fan of Lara's but he was pure spiteful bile ... she didn't deserve it. I will try to mute him next week Poor Sam probably got her hopes up for an eviction on sunday (see her earlier tweet about probably having her swan song?) but she can't help having a big fan base. She's getting better though will never be a good dancer. But she did really nicely in the group cha cha cha and thought she was getting more into her dances this week too - still struggling. But at least she's an example of what I thought this show was about in terms of these 'stars' developing as dancers as the weeks go by. I thought it was so sweet to hear D look right at his family and say "I hope they enjoy the night" with that loving smile in his eyes ... Awww! They all looked so happy to be together for the weekend.

I saw an article about Lara but it also gave a quote from Damien saying that Todd had it in for him last Sunday... ooh, i hope it doesn't end up with another childishly spiteful display from Toad towards D It's supposed to be 'light entertainment" for heavens sake

I reckon that's a cooked up "quote" Nuffy, doesn't sound like D, but sounds like Ch 7 trying to draw back some of the 36 000 who had left last weekend's show.... My description of Manu in his paso the " clomping Lurch" with the few steps he did do....the man is as smooth as a pit horse and yes I've seen them in action Still inclined to think they're trying to drum up scandals, intrigue and drama.....haha they have no idea.....reckon they'd keep viewers if it were a fair dinkum dwts....c'est la guerre

Having never watched this series before either, I won't be watching again after this series..... Todd's spitefulness is really nasty ... surely this must affect other celebs considering taking it on next year, not too many starlets would like the Lara treatment, poor girl! Anyways, good timing with a big cover article for Manure in Woman's Day this week and announcement of a new channel 7 show for him..................................... Go Damo - you can win on your own terms!!

I don't agree with Brian that Haley is a better dancer than Damien. I think they are definately on a par, but I think it is easier for the female dancer to look good. They look prettier, flashier, twirlier than the male dancer which can make them look "better". In fact I think for Damien to look as good as Haley , he is probably working harder than Haley. If Haley beats Damien I will be happy that it has been a fair game. But if Manu........ you Know what comes next I'm going to watch the 2 dances at once now. We all know how it's going to look before we watch it, but it's reassuring to know that you are not watching through your " one eye" !

Good on ya Deb If Damien and Haley are on a par and as she has stated that she has had dance training and Damo zero maybe that could have a sing off where Damien has had some tuition I believe and they could sing a song to decide the winner if it is even on the dance front. Lets see**** Maybe they could both have a go at either Nessum Dorma or perhaps Crying Wouldn't that be interesting. Seriously it is more than just dance ability that wins --it is also the personality of the dancer and in that Damien is streets ahead.

Thanks Braffy. Opps That is some data you have there. According to the rules on DWTS any contestant must not have any formal Ballroom training to be able to compete on the show as mentioned in the Telegraph's Sydney Confidential section today. In addition this is Dancing with the stars so on my reckoning she fails on both counts.

I watched this weeks DWTS for the first time today... so disappointed in the efforts of the judges. I can't imagine what Toad's problem was... it was like PMT!!! Cranky pants, OMG Apart from our dear man, I feel terribly sorry for Lara. Todd's comments were way out of line and have been on so many occasions for her. Her dancing ability IMO is much better than two of the celebrities currently in the semi finals and in the last two weeks Toad hasn't focused on her dancing at all, firstly about Carmelo's bare chest, and this week mostly about her hair. And the way he gave it to her when she questioned him, blimey! It's obvious who his favourites are and I actually think the whole show just stinks as it is so rigged. I think it was either Nuffy or Smiley who commented about Toad focusing on minor imperfections as far as Damien is concerned, and then overlooks so many faults with the other dancers (read mainly Manure).. I'm looking forward to watching MFU again just to reinforce what I saw the first time, the man really is not a very good dancer. Look from the waist up and he moves his shoulders ok and gets the right expressions (or at least some expressions) but from the waist down it's very untidy. Can't believe the chef got such a high score for that Paso - was more like the old 60's dance The Stomp! being done by a draught horse... he is so ungainly! And his effort with the Waltz was probably one of his better performances as he did manage to get maybe half a dozen actual dance steps in, rather than just standing like a dork while Alana pranced around him. Now Damien and Mel... sure, the Viennese Waltz may not have been his best dance, but was right up there as far as any waltz by others is concerned. The scores given, esp. you know who, were so unrealistic and difficult to believe that Toad thought that Damien was on a par with Sam and Lara and not as good as Manu. The 'instant' dance was amazing. They didn't put a foot wrong., had 40 mins to get it together, were given unrealistically crap music, but obviously the plan was for Todd to keep Damien and Mel 'under control' this week. Hopefully the low score will encourage more people to vote for Damien to keep him in. Realistically is in real danger of being eliminated next week - Sam gets heaps of promotion on Weekend Sunrise with the number being plastered across the screen continually and we know the best dancer doesn't always win. I can't imagine what Damien and Mel are going through - they must wonder what they have to do to please the judges - I guess they will just put it behind them and get on with the job. I just love this man and hate to see him put down unnecessarily, as indeed we all do.

Ok folks, time for some positive affirmations and visualisations ;D
Repeat after me... "everytime I see a picture of Damien I will tell him 'you are going to win, because you deserve to win'..."
Everytime you think of Damien, picture him holding the mirror ball trophy above his head.
If you promise to do this, show your intention by quoting my post!
thanks for reading... and committing!
