WHAT A WEEKEND!!!! WHAT A MAN!!! WHAT A VOICE!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D It's fair to say I'm still very feckin' smitten. It's always good times, lots of tarty moments laughs, and a big adventure whenever us Melburnian's make the trip to Sydney. Of course Damien was perfect and ever so gorgeous as usual. We're all left feeling like.... *sighhhhh* Dawnie or Braffy will do the setlist I'm sure? But I have to say he sang the hell out of Beautiful, Leah, Goodnight, Running Scared and Maybe Someday. Princey and I were sitting on the second level, pretty far from the man But still AWESOME and and interesting perspective re sound. We still sang, danced, and rocked the second level YEAHHHHH WOOOO!! ;D Thank you for an incredible weekend (except all the hotel drama like trilly mentioned of course!!! ) to all my Melb gang and CARRRRLLAAAAA!!!! Fantastic as always to see Spuddy, Dawnie, Braffy, Shims, and meet Morgs! ( I haven't missed anyone I hope!)

The set list was great, Spud. Almost identical to The Palms, except for the omission of Let Me Be Your Rescue and the addition of Run,(released OCTOBER 19th, not November, as auspOP said) dueted with Diana. (Would totally kill to hear him sing Golden Line live again one day though. Siiigh.) Haha, the Impromptu Chorus Line was fun! D was so sweet to join in! ;D

Diana's set list was: My morning Never Say Hello I Can't Make You Love Me What a Wonderful World Wait for No one Heads or Tails Love on Top Stormy Monday Diana was in fine voice and looks terrific. Those who watched "The Voice" will certainly recognise some of her covers from that show. I really enjoy listening to Love on Top and it sure had the audience rocking

The boys were all present : Eric, Chris, Steve & Cesar to back the amazing Damien Leith. It was unfortunate that flashes(camera) were not allowed though. Damien had his steel coloured jacket, white T shirt with a pattern, black jeans and shiny brown shoes He started with *Unless You Say So *Won't Back Down then talked about the baby boom within the band, with Chris and Steve becoming parents after Damien's stirling effort *Not Just For the Weekend and a brief but stirring rendition of "I'm too sexy for my couch " Mentioned his participation in Dancing with Stars and "Yes, he still had the sexy body" but there was not going to be any dancing *Here Comes the Sun Then talked about Roy Orbison *Beautiful and the terrible brown chicken, brown cow joke *Anything You Want *Leah *I'll Be Your Baby Tonight At this point Damien received his gift, but didn't read all the card....which had words to the effect that for such a formal venue apt attire was needed and he was given a g string which was set out like a tuxedo (they were actually stripper's undies)... Braffy has a pic of D holding them up *Running Scared At this point the guys left the stage for Damien's solos He dedicated the next song to the ladies of DLO (which of course includes the guys) *Wouldn't Change a Thing *Hallelujah *Run with Diana (he mentioned the release on Oct 19) *Maybe Someday which ran into *Live and Let Die *Handle With Care *All I Want is You *Summer of 69 Encore songs *Goodnight *End of the Line *Got My Mind Set on You *Pretty Woman

It was a fantastic show with Damien and the boys playing and singing up a treat, it was funny to see all the seat dancing down the front. The standing ovation by the entire audience at the end was an amazing sight too....hope D and the guys were able to see it There were 3 young girls in the front row who had made t shirts with different Damien pictures on the front and I Damien on the back and they handed him a rose each at the end We have certainly missed the buzz from from seeing and hearing Damien doing what he does best and what he loves to do. It was a terrific Show and especially those times when he did one of his special originals (thank you for the RJ songs too D ) It was lovely to see Eils there and she's looking fantastic especially with all her training for the Mt Kilimanjaro Challenge and also lovely to meet up with her mum There was a long queue for Damien's signing. Hope D restocks with all of his albums for future shows Was a treat to catch up with Maggiemay, Morgs, Shims & bf, Spud & Mash, Brian & family, Braffy, Carla, Princey, Krissy, Trilly, Di, Nicki, Glawz and to finally meet Plugger We really appreciate the time you give us Damien

Thanks Dawn, your report really is great! It was a fantastic show, and yes dido Spud, loved the set list. I really feel every time I get to a show, they just get better and better. I could have continued to sit there and listen all night. Thank you so much to Damien and the band, brilliant music, brilliant showmanship. If you could just put the show on a dvd just as it was and give that whole package to people, Wow......would have to sell a bucket load. Thank you for the time you gave us fans, it was really appreciated. It was an honour to meet Eileen and her beautiful Mum. Eil's just look absolutely amazing, wish her all the best with her training and event to come. And to all the Melbournians, thank you for taking me under your wings and looking after me on the weekend..... I didn't get lost or run over! It was just fantastic meeting everybody and catching up with others. Thanks everyone! ;)It was an adventure I will never forget and I have some special memories which I am still giggling about! My "D" has had a good laugh too! Look forward to seeing all the pics, I think I have a couple of good ones too!

Now to the biggest stuff up I have ever expiwe have ever experienced in my life. We had booked 2 kamily rooms each sleepin 4 at least 3 months ago. Princess reconfirmed that booking on Wednesday. On arrival there was only 1 family room and 2 double rooms. Just a slight problem with one of the double rooms the person in there had not checked out at that stage. They also wanted to charge us more we vetoed that pretty quickly. After a 2 hour wait the 2nd room was still not available. Numerous complaints were met by a pretty hostile staff. After wating another hour we demanded that they clear the room, clean it so we could occupy it. We had to get ready and look beautiful to see our favourite man. This was finally done. Di and Plugger moved in and a little while later Plugger had a man walk in to the room she nearly died. It was the previous occupant. We told him he had to take it up with the hotel as all his stuff has been removed. The poor man said he had a booking for 2 nights.Well enough was enough. I went to reception and gave them a piece of my mind.I was very polite and told them that they had totally stuffed up and what were they going to do about it. At the least we should get a refund for the room. When we got back from the show the general manager had been advised of the comedy that had gone on all day so he gave us the 2 double rooms free, they also sent up 2 bottles of Champagne. So it did all end well. All this could have been avoided if the dickhead assistant manager Tim had managed the situation when we checked in. I have written a letter to the general manager so will let you know if I get a reply.

I think you got the messsage across Nicki. At the time it seemed even worse than you described, if that was possible. Now to the show. OMG!!!!I think Dawn has done a stirling job so no need to repeat what she has said. However, I say again, that Damien and the boys are just so fantastic .... so tight knit and professional. Having been fortunate enough to attend three of this tour shows, I think these are the best shows I have ever seen, and that's saying something. Why?? - The number of original songs included
- The choice of set list
- The VOICE!! OMG! how good was Running Scared!!
- The good vibes and 'party' atmosphere created by Damien and all the band (maybe a little better at Palms though, sorry Sydney) - but it was still great.
- The support act.. how good was Diana??
- The meet and greet afterwards at all these shows.
NOTE TO DAMIEN: You have to know how very much this means to us... we love your music, your voice, your songs and we love YOU, for the person you are. The fact that you are so generous with your time(even though you had other committments) is so much appreciated. Also the way you acknowledge DLOers in the audience, with a word, even with a sly grin or look is just bloody awesome!! The only 'downer' so to speak, is the fact that we don't know when the next tour or show is going to be However, we're all in the same boat as far as that goes, just have to grin and bear it and wait for the next exciting instalment in the Damien Leith story - can't wait to hear what happening in 2013!! Last but not least, it was fantastic to catch up with DLOers and a great pity our contact with the Sydney girls was so brief. However, lovely to meet you Morgs, and to see Shims, Braffy, Dawn and Spud, and to catch up with the beautiful Carla and Plugger again. Also a great pleasure to talk to Eils and her mum, beautiful ladies.

It maybe just us but we believe his shows are even getting better if that's possible.
The singing is the same with even more power in his voice as it was in the terrific "ROY" concerts but the shows themselves are so well done with different routines as with "Leah" and the timing entry of the band members to the stage on certain songs appears well rehearsed and adds to a extremely entertaining shows.
The banter and off the cuff comedy is a show in itself.
A brilliant show again and the Damien Leith concerts must be one of the best live shows anywhere.
It's hard to pick favourites but if a had to I would list
Running Scared---That finish--WOW Leah Maybe Someday/Live and let Die Run Summer of 69--Only a short version but I love when he throws in some of the old rock classics.
Finally a terrific venue and great to catch up the DLO true believers again especially those from interstate that we only see from time to time.
We were unable to stay after the show as my son and I had a early hit off time for golf the next morning and has to rush home to get some sleep to prepare for the game.
ps: We did manage to get some sleep but it did not help with the golf

I cannot add anymore to what the lovely Dawn and others have said. I chose to sit up the back where I sat last time as the view was okay for me and the sound was more compatible with my hearing aids. Only problem was I had miscalculated and booked the seat behind The couple beside me were fans of the Voice and didn't know Diana was the support act so they thought that was a bonus. At the end the gentleman (who turned out to be my knight in shining armour left saying something about telling all his friends that they need to see this show ;D Apologies for not staying around for the signing etc (queues are not my thing and I had a delivery schedule in the morning and had forgotten about daylight saving (thanks Dawn ). I need not have bothered - I think I could equal your "stuff-up" experience, Nixter It was nice to briefly catch up with Trilly, Princess, Carla, Shims, Morgan, Spud and her lovely Mum, Braffy and Dawn who I ran into prior to show looking for food. Lastly a big THANK YOU to the wonderful Damien Leith and band for putting together another fabulous show. Okay think this might be my second longest post - will quit now ;D
