Hey Guys,
I thought I'd pop by to say a very quick hello, hope you're all well. Last night's show went great, lots of fun and the Brass Monkey is always a cool place to perform. I'm just about to hit the road for tonight's show but for those who can't make it, hopefully I'll have a show close to you in the near future.
Anyway, take care and chat soon Damien x

Hi D! Writing your own reports now huh? Just a quickie, on way home. Last night (Friday) D sang an a capella version of Leah which was just the most stunning thing ever! He asked if anyone wanted to hear s'more Roy and Leah was the front runner. He said he'd forgotten the chords but we begged him to sing it anyway . He said he'd do a little - but it sounded so gorgeous he kept going. The audience went NUTS! Just his pure voice, no accompaniment, even from himself. Holy Crap! Dawn has the set list, but he was bribed by her *cough* to do Stay which I loved as well. Such a fun night with The s, !! Heard both nights were excellent. Someone will write a proper report when they recover, I think! Ciao for now.

Just sitting here at the airport rembering last night at the BM , it was a great night and Damien was wonderful as usual, I can't remember the whole set list but some standout songs for me were Leah as Trilly said acapella OMG it was amazing I also enjoyed All I Want Is You and a favourite of mine from WWL Cold, Cold Heart was brilliant,of course there were so many other songs and I did enjoy them all. It was so nice catching up with Carla, Kath and Julie, Spud and Dawn. Damien came for a little chat after the show unfortunately I was a bit under the weather, I got off the plane feeling a bit sick and it didn't improve through the night I still had a great time aside from this. I'm looking forward to next weeks show in Katoomba with my DH, what a lovely 25th anniversary present It was nice to see your little report here Damien, you were just brilliant, as usual

'Twas nice seeing you again too, Spuddles. ;D Wish I'd been to both nights, would have loved to hear the "BM Exclusive" new originals! We did hear another song called 1 Million Reasons (which Glawz said was a bit of an escalation from 500) BAHAHA! It was pleasant, but not my fave of the originals I've heard recently. That would have to be Stronger Than Superman. ;D Damien's impersonation of a drunk was freakin hilarious! He really should act!! C'mon someone, make it happen! D has such a large repertoire these days and so many songs to choose from, we wanted him to sing all night! There are so many I want to hear again, but It was wonderful to hear him singing songs from Remember June lately. Still his best album so far, IMHO. Oh, re wardrobe, the "salmon pink" (real men wear salmon) shirt and matching shoes were different. I like D in reddish shades. To reiterate, I would have gone to that show just to hear that Leah. Just WOW!! That voice is gobsmacking on it's own. it always was, right from the first time we heard it in his Idol audition. Siiigh. Re Fridays's support. Andrea. Liked her voice but not really her habit of breaking up notes where they would have been better to slide into one another. Loved her cover of Valerie by Amy Winehouse, accompanied by Ty, her guitarist, with a fab voice (and great beat boxy rapping/ trumpeting). Could have listened to much more from him.

Hi, We also have seen Damien's solo show at Brass Monkey yesterday (Friday). Yes, it was amazing! What a great night!!! Damien was in top form and very funny!
THANK YOU SO MUCH, DAMIEN, FOR THIS FANTASTIC SHOW!!! YOU ARE REALLY VERY SPECIAL!!!
Our highlights: The a capella version of "Leah" and some Irish songs. (We have recorded it and will put these videos into our YouTube channel this weekend. Braffy, would you please transfer the videos to the DLO website? Besides, perhaps you can send it to Damien's Twitter/Facebook accounts? Many thanks!)
We had a nice chat and photo shooting/signing with Damien after the show (thanks to the manager who made the arrangment because we had to catch our last train to the CBD). Damien told us that there will be no additional shows in NSW (after the show in Katoomba on May 18). His new album will be published later this year, and the next tour will take place in 2014.
So we all have to think about how we can survive this period without to see Damien...
By the way, Brass Monkey is a very good venue - the food was delicious, the staff was very friendly.
Finally: It was a pleasure to meet you again, Dawn! We missed you, Braffy! (Sorry, after the show we had not enough time to speak to all the DLO ladies.)
Kindest regards, 2DamienFans

Hmm but there is a date booked for July 13th in Sydney. Kazza, if you're referring to Castle Hill, I saw it advertised too, but it would seem not to be going ahead. We had a great night. It's a pity everyone couldn't get to these shows. D knows how much we miss him touring the country extensively, as his post here (what a sweetie) shows. Didn't know you were there last night, 2 D Fans. Next time, come say hi. We don't bite. ;D
