I was hoping for something very special on Friday night and must say the support act was to me monotonous with every song sounding the same but Damien did not disappoint as a matter of fact I think is was the best show that I have ever seem from him and that is really saying something.
He seemed to have everyone spellbound including some of the Brass Monkey staff judging by their response.
The most memorable song was his version of 'Leah' --A Capella-- it was superb and I would not be surprised if it will be done this way in future shows as it appeared to me that he was surprised as to how good it was received and you could hear a pin drop during the song.
My wife also got to hear her favourite song 'If tomorrow never comes' in full and she said to me after that song that has made her night and then we had 'leah' after that so to her it was his best show ever and I totally agree.
His ability to entertain an audience while on stage is a rare gift not only with his singing but his banter between songs makes him such a terrific live performer as not many other artist can appear so relaxed on stage as he does.
This solo show was better than I had hoped it would be and that is saying something.

I love your accuracy, you never miss a thing. It's lovely remembering all the extra lines of songs D threw into the mix - however, every time he does that I want him to sing the whole song! 
The Lion Sleeps Tonight (Wimoweh) has great associations for me. I'd kill to hear him sing it in it's entirety some day. Can you imagine the falsie!? 
Not to mention Land Down Under! How cool

It's a pity you didn't stay behind after the show, he was in a chatty mood. I'm sorry if we gave you the idea he'd do a "runner" but it's always possible if Eils is there and they have to get home to relieve the babysitter. 
It was mostly positive, (of course because it is a lovely song which he sings superbly). However, he noticed the response was definitely negative from one *cough* particular table.
