Your reports always put me right there Trilly  I look forward to reading more Thanks Deb. I'll try to add more when I get time over the next few days. Suffice to say, I think I'm even more of a D fan than ever right now. I am so very proud of him.   PS. Absolutely cannot forget to mention I Can Stop You Crying (god, this is amazing live. Just DVine!) and Faith in Me. As a closer, the latter is so perfect. It's such a positive note to end the gig on, and tonight D sang it with such conviction and emotion I adored it. as I did the whole show. It was just over too soon. which we all felt. We wanted more, but isn't that the best way for him to finish? The old showbiz adage has much truth in it.  Night! |

Must mention that I haven't read the Vanguard reports yet because I wanted to record my impressions without any influence. i'M looking forward to catching up with the reports from last night shortly! Thanks Trilly, sounds like a brilliant concert. Aye, that it was Braffy.... fan bluddy tastic in fact!!!     Don't really think I can add anything except to say what you all know already - Damien is the most gorgeous, gentlemanly, talented, genuinely nice, humble, funny, brilliant performer in the world! He has the knack of involving his audience completely, and with his own creations you can feel the emotion in the room. I'll bet everyone there was enraptured with the sincerity and beauty of the music and lyrics. Speaking for myself, he took me to a beautiful place where I would have loved to stay for longer. So in love with the new songs already and RJ is up for a bit of competition for sure! Was so impressed by the standing ovation and general reception of everybody in the room, not just the tarts! Honestly can't wait for this album, nor can I wait for the show in November - completely in teh coma AGAIN... does it to me every time! Doc was kind enough to do the set list and has just left here... she promised to put it up when she gets home, but it looks pretty much the same as the Vanguard one.  |

It was, ladies. Awesome, in fact. Just realised no-one has given a wardrobe report. Love the fact that last night was all about the new music. We were so engaged soaking it up we hardly noticed his clothing ...well, that's not entirely true. We are s , ya know.  Lastly, I never thought I'd say this, but Chapter Seven feels like it may become my fave album to date. Glawz is so right. RJ had better watch its back!    |

IT WAS GOB SMACKING! . I think the feedback on the Sydney thread and here, sum it all up. As Shimms said, found myself listening to the lyrics more. You could see it all, Damien's, heart, soul, passion and conviction when he sang. Eric on the guitar was just a big WOW too! I honestly did not want this show to stop. The atmosphere was great, all the audience really got into it.
A couple of ladies having their first show were just as blown away too.
And for old times sake Damien YOU NAILED IT, TOUCH DOWN,
Huner Adams, what a lovely lady, really looking forward to listening to her CD today. Would happily go along to one of her gigs.
The company, well it was great catching up with all the Melbourne crew. Thanks girls! Thank you Doc, enjoyed our road trip together and look forward to another one.
Glawzy, a big thank you too! Sorry Damien missed out on his biscuits.....bummer..........my Damian and master 8 think they deserved them more! There has been a mouse in the cupboard too, as a few missing this morning! Sorry Damien, but they are delish.......... Yumbo!
Look forward to the Doc's set list and report. Oh didn't the Doc look gorgeous on Saturday night too! She looked the part in her outfit with her hat. Many commented too!

I so agree with you Plugz on the lyrics. This is what I wrote in my report on the Vanguard gig I found myself listening more to the lyrics last night and DAMN Damien is a fantastic songwriter. He should be very proud of all the songs he has written.Beautiful, beautiful lyrics. Thanks for your report Plugz and I bet Damien was a little bit upset that Glawz forgot his biscuits because I know that he loves them. Good call though for your Damian and Master 8 (plus a little Pluggy mouse) to get them.  |
