That's a great idea Julie, in fact any of the Elvis songs would be great to request. He was pushing the show as the only Elvis show, being held on the 40th anniversary of Elvis' death. Werribee isn't too far from Melbourne on the freeway, so I reckon he'll get a few more bums on seats at the Concert Hall from the attendees at this show.

KOROIT IRISH FESTIVAL - 28/29TH APRIL, 2017
Great Festival, people so friendly, everybody was there to have a good time.
We were sitting in the front row in the theatre which holds around 650 people and it was packed for Damien, people were standing along the side walls and the balcony was choccas too. Damien, Chris and Jess came past and saw us as they were entering the hall, said a hi and went backstage. A little later Chris and Jess came out and asked Sue, Trilly and I to distribute some of the Elvis concert cards around the audience which we did, nice to see him promoting, and he even mentioned it during the performance. I didn't write the set list but pretty sure I have all the songs although not in order.
Only the Lonely Ooobie Doobie Fields of Athenry Pretty Woman Rocky Road to Dublin Stronger than Superman In Dreams Galway Girl Wicked Game Waiting on an Angel (request) Divine!! Green Fields of France - said the Remembrance album was No. 14 Leah The Lion sleeps tonight (just the Wimaway part) Penny Arcade Hallelujah (request) Crying was the encore.
The crowd just loved him. Jess and Chris were awesome too, especially doing Leah! As usual Jess got a great reception! I think Damien and the band were having such fun they didn't notice they went 1/2 hr over their allocated time, 2 standing ovations, once after Hallelujah when he said goodnight, and again after coming back and doing Crying.
Meet and greet after the show but not a huge crowd stayed to buy or meet, it was 7.30 and probably like us, they hadn't eaten!! We ere able to have a quick chat but I didn't do photos. After grabbing a pizza we went down to the Irish Pub, crazy night, it was jam packed and badly organised but I won't go into that. They eventually had to stop people coming in as it was ridiculously crowded. Everybody was happy and friendly, a little full but happy drunks. They had a great band there which had the crowd wound up. A great night and fantastic festival. JUST REMEMBER.....YOU NEED TO HAVE RAIN TO GET THE RAINBOW

Drum Theatre Dandenong, 15.7.2017 It was nearly a full house in this lovely theatre, just a few seats left in the dress circle upstairs. Damien was very well received by his mostly senior audience but there were a quite a few 40's there, including my DD, her hubby and two of her friends, Damien virgins who absolutely were gobsmacked at how good he is. They were in love with him I think, said they must get to another show. DD is doing her part to infiltrate the crowd with her friends as they all agreed Damien is deserving of a young audience as well as the oldies to which I totally agreed even being one of the said 'oldies'.
He was firing on all cylinders last night in spite of a cold which had no effect on his voice, and the broken shoulder of course prevented the guitar playing, but we were treated again to the piano for a few numbers. Lots of Damien 'dancing', hip moves, jumping around and just being him, although after some of the moves he grabbed his shoulder and said 'that hurt'! The audience loved him of course, almost a complete standing ovation.
The set list was the same as the latest Roy shows, (with a couple of small exceptions) the band were extraordinary, Chris, Eric, Jess, Cesar and Steve providing beautiful harmonies and blimey, the show is magic with the whole band there. After interval Damien came out and at the piano sang Faith in Me, explaining that he had written it with Joe Melson, and that merged beautifully into Hallelujah which was a huge hit with everybody. We even got a fair bit of whimaway, and Bowie. The biggest treat of the night was Damien pimping the Elvis show and giving us a sneak preview of 'American Trilogy', it was drop dead gorgeous, gosh can't tell you how good it was, pity we weren't allowed to film or take photos. It honestly gave me palpitations, oh gor blimey!!! He said they had only rehearsed it in the car, this was confirmed by Jess who said she was worried as she really didn't know Elvis' songs. I would love for you girls to come down to Melbourne for this show, it's gonna be something sooooo special. There are going to be 16 people on stage apparently.
Maria and I were front row, seats 1 & 2 and three people came in the lady said, '5,4,3'. I quipped that we are 2 and 1, so we'd all blast off...The lady sitting next to me said, 'I'm gonna like you' to which I replied, 'I make a lot of noise' and she said she did too! Funny but I guess you had to be there! Turned out neither her or her friend and DH had seen Damien before but loved Roy. I told her that Damien is awesome and she'd love him. She asked what what would I do if she didn't like him but I just said there's no chance of that... my prediction was right as they were blown away. I gave them details of the Elvis show and the Parting Glass and urged her to get to both of them if she could. They were really lovely people.
They sold out of CD's, were heading to Swan Hill this morning (5 hrs drive from Melbourne) for a show tonight. I asked Chris if the person organising the tours ever looks at where the places actually are, because even if Victoria looks small on the map, it's a long, long way from south to north! Jess said they had no CD's available for the Swan hill show, they ran out! They had been to Bairnsdale the night before which is 4 hrs from Melbourne at least on the south eastern coast. Check your map and have a look at the distances between Bairnsdale and Swan hill, via Melbourne. Dandenong is a Melbourne suburb.
That's about it in a nutshell. Still in a coma, still having palpitations every time I think of American trilogy. At times those deep notes sounded like Elvis I swear. Magic!JUST REMEMBER.....YOU NEED TO HAVE RAIN TO GET THE RAINBOW

Oh wow! Great report Gloria. I really wish I COULD go to the Elvis Gospel Tribute show. It certainly does sound spectacular. The show at Swan Hill is a matinee I think so that makes it even worse as far as travel goes. Yes, 4 pm. That's good news about the Damien virgins, the friends of your daughter plus the people sitting next to you. I hope they do manage to get to other shows. Thanks again for the great report

Sounds like an amazing show Glawz! It's cute to think of Damien acting all hypo, haha. I can just imagine his voice on deep notes! He sings so much in his upper register, but he is equally as strong on the deep notes as well. Ah, pure magic!
