THE PARTING GLASS.... THE LAST ONE EVER - AT CHAPEL OFF CHAPEL, PRAHRAN, VIC. 18.11.17
I was very sad that this was the very last Parting Glass, the first one in a theatre (apart from the times he did it at a couple of festivals) was at Chapel off Chapel so it was fitting that the last one was there as well. Damien was in really top form, it seemed like he put his heart and soul into this performance, he was soooo good. It was just Damien, Jess, Eric and Cesar and they were all fab. Damien's acting was superb, and there were a couple of little extra things put in which weren't in the last one we saw at Albury, seems he has been honing it until the end! When he did Hallelujah at the end of the show, I've never heard him go up so high at the end, on the last 'yah', gosh it was amazing. The theatre is an old converted church I think, but with elevated seating and a huge stained glass window at the back of the stage. It was in the second theatre the first time and I think this one is a bit bigger, just the back two rows empty but the audience were fantastic, lots of input, laughter and singing and of course Damien fed off the atmosphere, I think that's why it was such a great performance from him.
JUST REMEMBER.....YOU NEED TO HAVE RAIN TO GET THE RAINBOW
