Great idea! Here's my message: (my name's Fiona, by the way!) Dear Leith family, I has been a pleasure to become aware of you, and in a way get to know you, through the Idol experience! You have brought so many people together, and everyone on the forum wishes you the best of the luck for the future. Damien, you are a beautiful soul as well as an exquisite voice. You and your family are so lucky to have each other, and we are so proud to have supported you on your Idol journey. I hope that whatever the outcome at the Opera House, you follow your passion and go wherever it is in life you wish to go. whenever you guys find time to do it, I don't mind. Do you guys think he should get it before or after the Finale..... if you want it before the Grand Final then I suppose maybe by next Tuesday or Wednesday night, but if you want him to get it after the Grand Final then maybe by next Saturday (not tomorrow, I mean the 25th.... I think thats the date). What do you guys think? Either way, he'll still get it. I'm not sure if my mums friend can have it passed on to him or not, she's asking him within the next few days, but, I know where the studios are and I can contact them and have it posted or delivered to the studios, so either way, he'll still get it... and seriously, don't worry about costs, if I didn't want to do it, I wouldn't have offered. I have most of the stuff at home anyway. I'll email the guys at Idol tonight or tomorrow, it would probably be easier just to have it express posted or delivered to them anyway, but either way, I'll make sure it's passed on to him. Emmylu Hey Emmylu......this is a fantastic idea.....just as neski said we had been discussing this idea just the other day... I'm not worried when he gets it...so any time is fine by me....I will post my message tomorrow or Sunday..depending on how I feel tomorrow..(another party tonight)... and I love the scrapebook idea too. thanks for doing this emmylu....Damien and his family will love this. xox. |

Ok - well when he gets it ... If he can get it at a later date - that gives more time for us to arrange it, also we would know if he is infac tidol or if we would have to say the 'youre still my idol' speech lol!
Oh - ummm not that this is a big concern but - what if D or E get wind of what were doing and 'snoop' around lol!?

I've been wondering all along what would happen if they happened to notice our little collaboration here.  I guess it doesn't matter if they know what we're planning... maybe if we do pictures and stuff like that we should PM them to Emmylu rather than posting them here, so they won't happen to see them until we're done. It might make it easier for her to keep track of things as well... |

there's also a thread over at Idol and I don't think E or D would go on there because of all the negativity and rumours that go on so we called always "move in" over there. Either way, just try and keep it quiet so try to post minimally on here, lol (that's rich coming from me!) and either PM me or post over at Idol under "General Idol chat" and then "Card for Damien-post any messages here."

it depends.... do you think he should get it before or after the Idol Grand Final. If we want him to get it before the final (maybe it will encourage him over the finishing line) then I was thinking maybe by Monday or Tuesday night or if we want him to get it after the Final then maybe Saturday (25th/11th) or the following Monday. Already I've got about 6 messages, but thats taken up to pages on Word and its in size "10." I'm gonna print 'em all of then handwrite them into a scrapbook. It just depends when we want him to get it.

Either one has its benefits...
I'm thinking if we give it to him after the final though, it will be kind of hard for us to write it now not knowing what's going to happen there? We would have to pull it together quickly if we gave it to him before but it would make more sense in the context of what we know as we write it. We would probably want to say different things to him after the final.

I honestly don't mind, but I'm just thinking (thats a change, lol) I don't know if they actually 'close' the Idol part at global studios or if they just start to refurbish it for next years idol. Anyways, we can just wait and see how many messages we get by Tuesday night. You can always just do a message before Tuesday night, and then, if we don't have enough, then we can do one for him to receive after Idol.

I think it would be so nice for him if D had a big surprise card waiting from us all on the night of the final to give him plenty of morale and support.  emmylu I'll pm you when I've figured out my message, so D & E don't get to peek before the card is delivered |
