  in other news... I'm glad they gave O Holy Night to David Hobson...only one there tonight (apart from you-know-who  ) who could have hit those notes. I really REALLY want D to do that carol next year..its my favourite of all time And I so agree Kami, Erika completely outshone the Divas tonight.Why? Because she picks a note and sings it with confidence. I'm hoping in time she'll be able to sustain a couple of those big notes a little longer and stronger, but I find her much more pleasant to listen to and watch than any of the Divas... speaking of the Divas, it was ok, but I predict Jess will completely show them up in Melbourne  Guys first song didnt sound right to me...but I loved the tone of his voice in the second..reminded me a little of Dean Martin! Oh, and Human Nature can bite me. Hard.

David Hobson is very good! The Young Divas: take Paulini out, and they're really not that great. Damien: of course the best, but I too am biased. |

We'll have to start a "Human Nature Hate" thread. Once those guys start attacking Damien, they have all of us to deal with.  Calm down... we better not. After all, we want Damien fanbase to be known as nice and gracious people, right?  |

Did I miss something? What have Human Nature done that everyone hates them?
I think Guys up next, I'm pretty sure it's the first time he's been on but I havn't really been watching and this woman singing now makes me so thankful for my mute button ;D

Only 2 verses (family friendly ones ), but an extended chorus... finishing with an absolutely flawless falsetto The crowd was finding it hard to keep quiet...I think that they cheered after the first verse! (or at least I did!) |

Damien sang really well, and I liked this version better than the one he did on Idol(and that was great too).  I wish he'd been able to sing "Waiting On An Angel" too, because I think that'd be a lovely Christmas type song. |

eew what happened to Guys voice in that first song? Too many key changes...should have started in the higher key and stayed there...falsetto was dodgy, wasn't it... On a brighter note.... 2.5 minutes of BLISS amongst all that drivel (excluding the Wiggles who are Great!...lol!) D was an absolute STAR, legend and musical genius...should have sung for at least 1.5 hours !!!!! Won't be the last time he's singing for such a huge crowd methinks... |
