Yeah, Guy was a bit all over the shop! Damien looked very subdued tonight! I guess that suited the mood of the song. I could hear a gradual roar from the crowd as he was announced! He looked good - pale green shirt, faun jacket. He was the only one, other than the country/western guy, with a guitar. How short was that though? Surely he gets another song? Human Nature and that Jade chick are stealing the show! I'm going back to watch, just in case he's on again... I sat through Rags for him. The things I do for that man!

Only 2 verses (family friendly ones ), but an extended chorus... finishing with an absolutely flawless falsetto Thanks winter. So he sang the sanitised version......where the existence of God is questioned at the start of verse 2? Hee hee, that's possibly even more amusing for Carol's by C'light than singing about ladies' nether regions

Btw when Santa came out my mum and I were debating over whether it was actually Damien ;D I wish Rags hadn't stolen Rockin' Around the Christmas tree, I wanted Damien to do it! If only he'd do that song from Love Actually! 'All I want for Christmas is you...'

Dont shoot me guys, but I didnt mind that whole Jubilation/ jade McCrae/ Divas soul bit... though I agree with sunshine that Paulini is outsinging all of the Divas combined. I found Jade more soulful though! You know, D had the only song so far that didnt descend into variety show.....

Hi guys...I kind of agree with you there. Which I find strange as she did my head in during Idol and I actually used to think Kate was great. I loved that performance of "Jesus what a wonderful Child". Who is that guy David something? He sang my favourite Christmas song "Oh Hold Night". Is anyone else a sobbing mess after Belinda's brother? xx

My Dad (who is quite ill) got up when they had "Rockin around the Christmas tree, and took my mam to show my niece and I how they used to jive. It was the lovelies thing, to see him so lively and happy, like when he used to go to the dances back home in the 50's and 60's..heehee, we were all clapping and cheering them. They could really move :-)).

first and last verse from the Buckley version... yes, a bit of God questioning ;D Always good at Christmas! Yeah, the tribute to Belinda was beautiful, especially the way he just turned and looked at the clip of her singing at the end, I had a lump in my throat...

Damien was fantastic. He certainly blew Guy's doors off. Guy was way off on the first song. But Damien was so distinctive, to come out with just his guitar and that beautiful voice. He wasn't perfect but the conditions tonight weren't exactly ideal. Remember too, that he did quite a few songs in Maroubra this afternoon.

I boubt this will mean anything to Rove, but I hope you have a wonderful christmas filled with memories of Belinda... Try to smile... i can't imagine how hard it must be for you at this time.

Yeah, it must have been hard for Shane to come on and sing like that. I hope they ask him back next year. The best moments of that finale were undoubtedly David Hobson high-kicking with the Wiggles ( ) and the big grin on Damien's face.

Why didn't they let us see D during "Go Santa Go"??!?! Would have been TOOOOO cute. D looked slightly like the 'new kid on the block' in terms of generally tomfoolery amongst "carols old-hands"...he looked quite stoked to be up there ...even though he waaaay out classed basically every performer. How can you not love the Wiggles...were they taking the piss quite a bit...? THOUGH...there were too many shots of Santa & Capt. F and NOT ENOUGH OF D!!!
