OMG I still can't believe they rushed the stage! I told BF as he knows the Palms, and he said it's a high stage - so how did they do it? !

My daughter's voice said it all, it was pure excitement and in total awe of Damien. She kept screaming down the phone at me, "Oh Mum, he is so gorgeous, he's absolutely gorgeous." Well I already know that, I've been telling her that for six months! ;D What...she didnt already know? *sigh* note to self: its now 21 hours till the concert!

Winter, my daughter didn't have the pleasure of seeing Damien on Australian Idol. She also lives in the sticks and doesn't get free to air TV. I'd been raving about him from his first audition and it wasn't until my daughter and family visited us over the Christmas/New Year break that she actually got to hear and see Damien courtesy of my Winner's Journey CD/DVD. She kept asking me to play the CD over and over and that wasn't a problem for me at all. ;D She's now bought her own copy and has introduced Damien to a lot of her friends who all love him. Even her father-in-law (who is a Jeff Buckley fan) was impressed when he heard Damien's rendition of Hallelujah, saying that it was far better than Buckley's.

Ah, I would love to be a fly in the wall at your place at the moment, Winter. And Kris's too, for that matter. ;D It's great to hear that the Melbourne concerts look to be as big a hit as the Sydney ones, and that the fans there are... er, very welcoming. I wonder if Damien will ever think of 'Come To Me' in the same way again...

Here's hoping someone got a couple pictures on the sly anyway. Stupid rules.

Well...I can understand this. Flashes going off in your face would drive you mental! And I know you can ask people not to use flash...but it never works!

My daughter didn't mention anything about not being allowed to use cameras tonight. As I mentioned earlier, I did tell her not to use the flash, mainly for Damien's sake.
I've tried to phone her three times since her last call to me, all without success I'm afraid. She's probably turned her phone off wanting to keep me in suspense until tomorrow. Urrghh!
I'm looking forward to hearing the reports from the other Damienites who were at the concert tonight and I'm hoping that the 'stage mobbing' wasn't as bad as it sounded.
I'll keep you up to date with any new information, photos and videos as they come to hand.

Would hate for Damien to be bothered by flashes - after the first few they really disorient you. All the same, if Wrest Point implements a similar rule then I will probably end up getting thrown out of the concert for punching the first person who tries to tell me I can't take pictures...
