My daughter didn't mention anything about not being allowed to use cameras tonight. As I mentioned earlier, I did tell her not to use the flash, mainly for Damien's sake. I've tried to phone her three times since her last call to me, all without success I'm afraid. She's probably turned her phone off wanting to keep me in suspense until tomorrow. Urrghh! I'm looking forward to hearing the reports from the other Damienites who were at the concert tonight and I'm hoping that the 'stage mobbing' wasn't as bad as it sounded. I'll keep you up to date with any new information, photos and videos as they come to hand. aww mysterri....she wouldn't do that to you would she ...Maybe her mobile is flat from her letting you listen to the concert and probably needs to charge it up... if thats not the case...then I would send her to her room for the next 40 years like you suggested....and don't feed her either! I don't think that will help with getting the concert report.

That's her room at her place, not here! If it was here I'd give in and give her lots of hugs and kisses, that's what mothers do.

Just spoke to my daughter and she met Damien backstage and got some lovely photos. He signed my T-shirt "To Terri, Love Damien." SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. He also signed my granddaughters T-shirt and she SQUEEEEEEEEEEEE'd as well. Champo was trying to whisk Damien off as he had an interview with Irish radio, don't know what station though. My daughter said that Damien was in the middle of signing something for another lady and he turned around and realised that he was being lined up in my daughter's camera lens. He stopped what he was doing and posed for her. Swooooooooooooon! I asked about the stage mobbing and my daughter said that a whole lot of women rushed the stage and were grabbing Damien around the legs but he managed to break free. My daughter also had a chat with Mark Wilkinson but didn't manage to get a photo of him! (Sorry Ozbrat). This is like waiting for Santa to come! I have to wait until my daughter travels home from Melbourne tomorrow, uploads the photos and video and then sends them to me. Then I can share them all with you.

Just got in, what a fantastic night!! I was further up the back, so I can probably clarify the 'mobbing' thing During the encore when he was singing Unchained Melody, he started touching peoples hands while he sung. This caused quite a few people to run down the aisles to the front, so there were a few little 'mobs' at the front for a few minutes. At one stage a couple of girls did grab him and kiss him, and he made a comment that escapes me, but I'm sure it was the verbal equivalant of blushing. The girls and the hand touching went on for about half of Unchained Melody, but they were just at the front of the stage, not actually on it. But as someone who was further up the back (actually had an awesome seat, just not up front, but no one in front of us, great view!) I was selfishly hoping they'd let Damien get on with singing one of my favourite songs It seems after the other night he is incorporating Celebration into the set, which was great. He even explained how that came about. I spent the whole night with a big goofy grin on my face, mesmerized by that amazing voice, which is, if you can believe it, even better in real life. I was totally just living in the moment of voice and music, and it was beautiful. The band were great and so was the accoustic set, it was (running out of adjvectives here!) hauntingly beautiful. His voice was sublime as he sang Hallelujah and Crying. He really does have such a gift and it's lovely that he is getting a chance to share it with so many people. The power in his voice when he was doing Nessum Dorma was incredible, especially after such a long and varied set. He seemed very happy and relaxed and chatted with the audience about the music, and some stuff about his time on idol. He played a few songs that are his, Beautiful, Come to Me (gorgeous) and Sky (sounded even better with a band!) I actually thought he was wearing a greeny/khaki shirt, but it was hard to tell with the stage lights. The lighting was really good too, especially during the accoustic set. The sound was fantastic and it was a great venue, it seemed very intimate, so different from a pub or a stadium. Damien should be so proud, touching so many people with his voice and music. Ok, going to stop gushing now if I remember anything else I'll add it in tomorrow. (I really need a new sig too.. might make one tomorrow )

mysterri, your daughters experience trumps mine! Can't wait to see the pics There were no cameras allowed in the audience, although I'm sure a few people got some surreptious pics

Thanks for the update Mozaic. It sounds like it was another brilliant night. My daughter said the 'stage mobbing' was broken up fairly quickly or Damien released himself quickly. I'll find out more tomorrow. His shirt was probably more khaki than grey, I've never seen him wear grey but as you said the lighting may have something to do with it.
Did you manage to take any photos during the concert? My daughter managed to meet Damien backstage and she said that there were only two other women there. Were you one of them? Hope so. ;D

No camera's Mine's permanently attached to my arm so they'll have to cut it off. Can I say I need it for medical reasons?

She didn't mention that to me but she was so excited during the course of the evening and our short snippets of conversation were very disjointed. It was "Can you here that?" as she held up the phone and then I got "He is so gorgeous, oh my God he's gorgeous." So maybe she didn't manage to get any photos or a video of Damien in concert! Melbourne girls take note: Sit your cameras on your lap, turn off the flash and click away!

No unfortunately I was away from the forums for a few weeks and missed the backstage pass comp! Damien did extricate himself fairly quickly from the kissing girls, the did just kind of grab him and drag him down for a kiss.. I think somoene on the other side kissed him too! He is very kind and kept touching peoples hands, but then after it all died down got back to singing Unchained Melody. He did a bit of dancing around .. which you all know is very cute! He seemed very relaxed and happy, and he took the girls at the front in his stride! I say girls, but actually I was quite suprised by the 'demographic' of the audience, lots of mature fans (I'm 36, but there were also lots of people in their 50s and 60s) and of course some younger people. But it was definitely an older crowd. I think idol has a demographic that it doesn't realise, or maybe it does after this year! Saw a few kids there too, which was cute.

Mozaic that's so fantastic, we were looking forward to your report! Wow Mysterri sounds like your daughter had a great night - she got backstage!? Sounds Damien was lovely as usual! Glad the 'mob' didn't go on the stage - it sounds like the first night in Sydney - people in the "mesmeric trance"!

You're welcome shimmery Glad to share! mysterri, there was a sign as you go in that that says (in symbols) no cameras, camera phones, videos etc. I think it's probably a standard thing at that venue, rather than specific to Damien. Just guessing though. I'm sure lots of people did sneak camera pics. I did see a couple of flashes go off, but an attendant quickly moved to the area and hovered, and they stopped.
