But wow, you know how to make an impression on a man - and his parents! And OMG Braffy! I forgot to mention that I cracked up reading what you said!!! And also you guys requested Crazy after he'd sung it, and he did it! Classic! Mark's great

Great story OZ. You forgot to mention that I asked about the Bore song because we were 20 or so minutes late getting to Mark's gig and when we were nearly there we could hear him singing Crazy. So when I asked if he had played the Bore song it was to find out if we had missed it. When he said that he hadn't I asked him to play it before 5.30 He played a few more numbers (after his break when I might add he had offered to buy us a drink). We all said no, I mean for goodness sake, Oz had hers on her shirt, she could lick it off at any time. I didn't want to be doing wee. wee, wee all the way home and DD already had a drink in front of her. As it got close to 5.30 I tapped my watch to remind him of the time. Thankfully he played it for us then. I did have a great day out. I hadn't told anyone that I was coming because up until just before noon that day I wasn't. As it turned out I was the first one there. I was there about 1.30 and Shimms and b/f arrived just on 2. Luckily for us they did the Damienite thing and took up front row positions. I hadn't seen them arrive. I had grabbed a tree to the left of the stage as you look at it and contacted Oz to see if she was there yet. Had tried ringing her but realized I wasn't going to hear her so sent a text message instead. She was about 20 minutes away so I sent a message of where I was and quickly went and got an "Irish Iced Chocolate" The only thing missing was the chocolate. It was a green frothy drink. I then waited by the tree for Oz and the rest of it is in Oz's story. Would like to add a moral to the story...Don't go to an event like that when you are low on phone credit. Thanks everyone for a great time. BTW Oz is not joking when she talks of how close we were to Mark. In fact when she spilt her drink and said sh*t, I asked him if that went over the microphone. Oz's comment to Mark about Damien being his support for the day gave him a real thrill. He is such a nice guy. Told him again about your disappointment Kami at not being able to see him.

Hi BG *HUGS* Hope you are having a lovely time. We all miss you. LOL. Yes Madi has been smitten with Damien ever since her meeting. I have that photo on my desktop on my PC now and she comes over and makes dreamy eyes at the screen...haha. And I agree, that top photo of Damien is one of the best I have seen. Speaking of dreamy looks, he has one in that pic! XOX The first pic is a great one that Carlene took. I will let her post the rest but I thought this was so lovely. The second one is of Damien, myself and my 3 girls. Holly is the baby on the left, she wasnt paying too much attention at this stage but D had been talking to her lots before hand. Stephanie is my nearly 14 year old, and yes she is taller than me *sigh* and Madison is the one I am holding who is totally SMITTEN with Damien. Look at her face LOL. So annoyed that the piece of hair just decides to blow in my face at that very moment...hehe. Thanks Carlene for taking these! Holy crap. I think I'm in Damien looks absolutely gorgeous in that photo. We need Carlene at more concerts! Carla, your girlss are lovely. I see what you mean about Madison.

Having to be at work at 6am, trying to wake up and then grinning like a cheshire cat at Oz's tale. What a brilliant piece of work....maybe you should link up with Damien and write a novel together...you certainly have a gift. Thank you:)

Oz, your photos are fantastic and I love your re-cap too. Thanks so much for sharing. I love the first photo you have of Damien. He has that similar dreamy eyes things going on that he has in the one I posted that Carlene took. So glad you had such a good day I know I did too! Carla XO

Loved your recap Ozbrat, thank you! but I'm about to say something that may make me quite unpopular... I'm accessing the internet via internet cafes at the moment, only have 20 mins or so online, and I think I've just spent half of it trying to skim through posts about MW to get to what I really want to read about...which is D, strangely I know you put a disclaimer in your post about not reading any further if not interested in MW, but theres still nearly 2 pages of MW discussion that follows! I'm just wondering whether we could keep slightly more on topic, and post recaps about D at St Pats Day in this thread, and start a seperate thread for Marks gigs...hell, I'll even make you guys a sub-forum if you like Sorry if this comes across as grumpy, I dont mean it to be....I'm very happy Mark has lots of fans here And listen, if I'm the only who feels this way, I'll just shut up and deal with it too..no drama!

Nah it's cool Winter. I actually told Mark one of the reasons I wanted to start a forum for him was because of this very problem. I'm well aware of the Mark overload a few of us have had on the forum and I'm trying to keep it down (and in the Mark appreciation thread), but seeing him was part of my report so that's why I wrote the disclaimer. No need to start a sub-thread. His own forum will be up by the end of the week

Sent you a PM Haha yeah it seems little Madi is a bigger fan after meeting him. But I think most of us know what that feels like! Oh yes, it was loud before D came on wasnt it? That Irish band were great but OMG soooo loud! hahaha. I can't believe Holly slept through it. It was just wonderful to see Damien sing again....and those notes he holds *sigh*. What a gift! C XOX
