Loved your recap Ozbrat, thank you! but I'm about to say something that may make me quite unpopular... I'm accessing the internet via internet cafes at the moment, only have 20 mins or so online, and I think I've just spent half of it trying to skim through posts about MW to get to what I really want to read about...which is D, strangely I know you put a disclaimer in your post about not reading any further if not interested in MW, but theres still nearly 2 pages of MW discussion that follows! I'm just wondering whether we could keep slightly more on topic, and post recaps about D at St Pats Day in this thread, and start a seperate thread for Marks gigs...hell, I'll even make you guys a sub-forum if you like Sorry if this comes across as grumpy, I dont mean it to be....I'm very happy Mark has lots of fans here And listen, if I'm the only who feels this way, I'll just shut up and deal with it too..no drama! Oh, and I'M labelled Cranky Pants! ....maybe crankyskirt! *note winter......just joking! ;D after all I don't want my No. on ALL the toilet doors! *

*sob* I know - it's so upsetting to hear them talking. It's not as bad on my audio, but the reverb on mine means Damien isn't as clear, so having Damien clear seemed to be the more important thing. But I can't believe people were yakking like that right up the front of the stage. They only just turned up right before that song too!

*sob*..oh gosh ..Thanks Shims. Just to hear him sing it is fabulous,( even tho certain indivduals are infuriating). Ilove the little bit of "You're too Good to Be True" at the end, with audience participation.... (singing it to him, perhaps?)

Thanks so much for all the fabulous reports, the pics and the video/mp3! Tres` annoying all the chatter over the latter but yes, I agree, less so on the video...obviously due to D's hawtness taking precendence!

You're welcome guys, I couldn't wait to get that to you. I love it so much, so glad Damien sang it. Braffy I left you a message in the other thread but if you read here first, just use Quicktime to open it, then it will work for you.

*sob- is heartbroken, her inability to organise, coupled with family commitments meant she didn't get to see everyone* I got there just as Damo was getting right into NOML. Damo was great, but Hyde park has nothing on the old party that it used to be. It's now way too tame and a little on the boring side. Prince Alfred there was more room, so you could really get into it...loads of people to chat to.. though my mam spent a lot of the night looking after drunken men- she was saying 'pretend I'm your mammy' (it was really sweet). She figured they're probably all the way over here, missing their mates from home, and she'd hope someone would look after her baby's too. The real party is Saturday night......

*met a few lovely Irish lads...but nothing overly exciting, but the tart was on full speed* Was annoyed they only sang "Ireland's Call" instead of "a Soldier's song".. it was great to hear U2 songs live and some you ones and young fellas started chanting "ole ole ole ole..." that was ly..then heading towards the Rocks hearing chants of the same and loads of Irish chants. ly, brilliant, love it!

I'm so sorry Irishscorpio - I had put my Blackberry in my backpack when we moved from sitting on the blanket to standing and surging forward with the crowd, and couldnt' hear it over the noise, and it was only as Ozbrat and Braffy and I started walking up to Oxford St that i remembered and saw all your messages (and as you know we texted back and forward after that).
