First of all... the set list was about the same as the previous night's, excluding Message To My Girl ( ), Beautiful and... I think that's about it. The voice - spectacular. Every bit as good as the night before, maybe better because of the intimate venue. It was smaller than I thought it would be, so his voice was just amazing. Even though we didn't get seats right in front because those ones were reserved for dignitaries. Didn't get to sit with GJ and Ange and Kath or say a proper hello to Selestial for various reasons, and I must have missed them when we were leaving, which was a bit sad, but at least we got pretty decent seats and I hope theirs were good too. The angle, however, means that I got more videos of the back end of Damien than the front.

The acoustics in there would have been amazing!

Crush has just texted to say it is too loud to call on mobile right now but will as soon as she can.
Kami - sounds like his voice would be lovely in such a venue. Those kind of venues really pay homage to soaring tenor ranges, which Damien has in spades.

Oops... forgot the wardrobe report! Same jeans as yesterday's concert, which I was kind of disappointed about because he mentioned to my mother he'd just bought a pair of pink pants and was thinking of wearing them. I noticed tonight that there are frayed parts on the... er, butt. Different shirt - grey or white I think, with some round pattern on it. The light colouring of said shirt will be significant to a short but heartwarming story I'll be relating later... in the passworded thread.

We've put up a separate thread in the password protected Concerts Organiser, Kami, and wait patiently.
Edit - just got a text from Crushangel - is a wardrobe report (ha, gotta love these girls and their priorities) "same jeans as last night white top with red circule pattern dark coloured black/brown shirt"

Cary Lewincamp was on first, and he was really great. His guitar is just gorgeous and it sounds gorgeous too. He interacted with the audience a bit and told some stories about some of his songs. He reminded me a bit of Damien in character. Lovely man. I recognised a couple of the samples from his site. He made sure he turned around and addressed those of us who had seats behind him as well, which I thought was really lovely. He commented that he really liked Damien on Idol, and he'd voted for him... even though he hadn't actually called his number. He has a new CD coming out where he plays with a (Japanese) koto player - I am definitely getting that. ...I kind of got distracted near the end of his set when I noticed Damien's guitar, complete with starry guitar strap, sitting on the stage next to him. I saw the other guitar he used at the... Grand Prix, was it? At least, it looked like the same guitar he used there. Wanted to take a picture of it but I wasn't sure yet if cameras were allowed. We ended up sitting behind Jo Cornish who was MC (my mother was convinced her husband was Damien's brother, but fortunately I stopped her from embarrassing herself by asking... ) Jo went up, ranted about how much her family loved Idol and 'the Irish guy' in particular (but doesn't everyone?), and then it was time for Damien to come on.

Crush has rung She says sound was amazing, so his voice was "spectacular". It was shorter, missed out Message to my Girl, Beautiful, Never Meant to Fail. The whole band was there. The venue was small. They went to mass hoping they could stay in the front row, but they were kicked out, and all the centre was for "corporates" so they were pushed out to the side half way back, but that was better than side at the front because there were pillars there. So they were pretyt unimpressed about that, and the organisers were not very polite about that either ... But Damien seemed to really enjoy it, was more reserved - no standing or dancing of course because in a church. At the end Kath gave him a rose after Nessun Dorma

Yeah... those pillars were a pain. I managed to squish along where I was so that I could see Damien. Was still watching him from behind, but hey, the voice is great from any angle.

I may have film of Kath giving him the rose, too. I filmed all of Nessun Dorma through to the end of Unchained Melody, and I remember seeing her go up and hand it to him. It's a bit far back because they were all on the other side of the stage, but it was really lovely. Hopefully nothing was getting in the way at that point...
