I'm assuming that this is a non-televised event, Braffy??
Is "Five Dock" somewhere close to anyone's home??

It is in the inner west of Sydney. Antares mentioned that she would try and go to it. I don't know who else lives near there. Morgs may go with the children but I don't know if it is near enough to her home. ODT may live in the area I am not sure.

Thanks for the heads up Antares and Braffy. I would love to be there but unfortunately I live about seven hours south of Five Dock in Sydney. OK, I'm being weird again (you all should know me by now) but could Antares be Angelo Tsirekas or perhaps his wife? City of Canada Bay Mayor Angelo Tsirekas - Antares is Canadian? Sorry Antares but I'm over analytical at times. I love intrigue even when there is none to be had.

Oh Gawd Tina, you're doing a Pauline with your "please explain." I think that particular catch-cry will go down in history and ya gotta love it. I don't want to embarrass Antares but I can't help noticing these things. It would be great if the Mayor of Canada Bay and his wife were fans of Damien. I've met many Canadians and in my opinion they are wonderful people. DH and I are going to Canada within the next few years and I can't wait for that.

Wonders if our roving reporter Nuffy can get there! OMG I'm going to try to be there. Thanks so much Antares and Braffy for the notice. I fell asleep on the sofa after hubby interrupted my Damien session (just after logging on 3 hours ago ). He tried to get me off the sofa and into bed but i couldn't... something was compelling me to wait till he was asleep and then get me back to the computer... And here it is What fantastic news to wake to It's not really close but just tonight I was telling the (unconvinced) family that we MUST get to a carols session... whoohoo!!! a D-ream come true But gj are you suggesting that I try to put people through my really poor quality video camera again? We've decided the Samsungs's not as good as our old Panasonic. My old video camera was much better. Or, did you just want one of those rambling reports I normally do? I'll TRY to get there... fingers everything crossed!

Sounds like a wonderful treat for people that live in that area or close by!!! :rudolf: Hope some of the forum members get to go. I am sure it will be fun. I always love Carols by Candlelight, no matter where it's held. ARGH why does all the good stuff happen when I am either sick, or have previous arrangements.

Yes, this is not very far from us at all. Unfortunately the little boy is just a little too young to take along for an evening event this year, so we'll have to give it a miss. Otherwise we'd be there for sure.
