Haven't made my donation yet either...so that means the tally will grow & grow as more Damienites donate!!

Any news on tax deductible status ? (I'm going to donate personally as well, but will also donate from the business account so would like to know about Tax ... "IYKWIM"...!)

wow, that is a fantastic total for the first week...

I wont be donating till new year either...I think I've just overdrawn my account with Christmas spending, and I'd hate to write them a rubber cheque!

i just got my receipt for my donation in the mail and it says that the donations are tax deductable... incase people were still wondering. I also got a little book outlining what the special olympics do, its great to read and makes me wonder why i hadnt heard of this charity before.

Any update from the SO? I thought the plan was for an update on December 28.

Ok well as I said yesterday I was waiting to hear back from Monica, I left her a message yesterday re the tally update.

Have just spoken to Monica and she apologises, she gave the incorrect dates for the closing of the SO office when we spoke before, they closed last week & will not be open again until January 8 so we will have our next update until Jan 10.

Any donations coming in over this week are still being tallied though and will be counted in the next update This is why we got an early tally update on Dec 21 when we weren't expecting one until this week.

However Monica thanks everyone for the continuing donations, she says they are rolling in nicely and is really looking forward to keeping the tally progressing along into the new year. Well done everyone!
