Question: On the money order, to I write it out to So Australia or the Damien Leith Online ..... thing?

Neski, I would say that you would make it out to Special Olympics Australia, with a cover letter mentioning that it's to go towards the DL Birthday Fund.

How do money orders work anyway? I thought it might be easier than going to the bank for a cheque, but I've never used one before, and I don't want to make a mistake  |

Well ... you just go to the post office .... hand over the money you want sent .... they write it in on a slip .... you fill out who its for .... send it in an elvelope and then the reciever can use it by going to the post office and claiming the cash ordered |

Hi Neski - all the info for the correct process to do the money order is on the first post And thanks BG that is right, to make anything out to the Special Olympics Australia and then add a little cover note so Monica can see it's for this project Money Orders are good if you don't have a cheque account or credit card, and are designed to be safe to send in the mail Less than a week til the next tally!!! Exciting!! |

I was just about to discuss the over in the secret forum Dede as yes that is a very important point. I would be happy to have it go just to Damien, the only problem with that is that it give us no way to check that all the names have been included and no one mistakenly left out. I'll start a poll in the secret forum about that now and see what people think. If anything is ever posted here - no one's real names will ever be posted, just initials - but that will be if it comes to that anyway - see the poll for further |
