Seriously though, the only reason to join that club would be to see stuff, like videos and pics, that only members could see. Would we get in trouble if one person who joined the club posted that stuff here so people could see it?
I reckon we should welcome people who pay their $30 dollars here anyway. It's not 'us' and 'them' - we're all Damien fans, after all!

Hyperrune I would definitely say that there's no way we could ever post things from the other board here, it would be major copyright if that is a paying site.
From the Dean club, the interesting part for me seems to be that the clubs have access to tickets to special appearances, concerts etc that the general public wouldn't have tickets for. But then again perhaps this club could have special status for those things too - it would just be harder for them to manage that I suppose
All Damien fans would always be welcome here - I think the main worry is the momentum of the boards, etc - if there are 2 boards with all the same people, the conversations would get so diluted between the two places. So it would definitely be great if we could all stay together as best as possible.
Ah yes, I meant to note that Ronan is so cosy with that microphone - *nice*

Just so we can look at it better, here is what is on the front page of Dean's site as to what it offers fans:
"So you want to chat with Dean Geyer, be the first to purchase concert tickets, have access to exclusive Dean must-haves, access exclusive fan club sound check parties, and be the first to get the latest information on Dean?
Then the official Dean Geyer UpClose fan club is the fan access you have to have.
Yearly membership will include:

Now a lot of this sounds more like Dean fan stuff than what Damien fans would do - but it's interesting to see what you get for the memberships and what seems to be being planned for these clubs.

This is true simmery (  ), they may set up the Damien one alot differently as the demographic would be different..... When the guy setting these forums up was on the Idol board answering Dean fan questions, I also posted and asked him to fill us in here to avoid similar confusion. But he hasnt come....and never answered my post (but he answered every Dean fan post  ) perhaps they are thinking of settin up D's differently? |

I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens - it's not long to go...might give Sony an email though asking to explain whats happening or whoever is in charge of this...It might be worth a spare moment of mine.. lol

Neski, it wouldn't be a bad idea to maybe ask Sony or Damien about this because then perhaps if Sony is planning something they could merge in with this site somehow?
Unfortunately I suspect it will be like the Dean site which will end up just linking to the original fan-site.
