Next week there's ultra strong competition. Christina Uglyliar and Awfull Lavigne both have great singles out today. Both should debut in the top ten and Fergie and the Umbrella gal aren't going anywhere either. That said it should make top 10 next week. Both Dean Geyer and Tammy MacIntosh didn't debut at their peak positions Who is Tammy MacIntosh? Top 10 is possible for next week. You're right though Fergie (unfortunately) isn't going anywhere and neither is Rhianna. 'Love Today' by Mika is there to stay as well (that's a good thing). Darren Hayes will probably debut in the top 10 next week as well. Sounds live Avril and Christina could aswell. So lots of competition. That stupid Destination song won't be going anywhere either

A girl from Neighbours who's managed by Glenn Wheatley. Her 1st single was hyped to death but only debuted around 16 then rose into the top 10. Her album was so multi-formated that if only one fan bought all the different editions it would have still charted. She's just flopped in the UK

Stephanie McIntosh's album was... interesting. I asked my mother if she'd buy me the Super-Sparkly Slipcase With Bonus Diary And Random Other Teeny Accessory Edition, and she got me Teddy Geiger instead and started talking a whole lot about how we were too broke to buy any more CDs.

Considering it's had virtually no radio airplay(at least in Sydney, where NOVA doesn't play it at all), #11 isn't too bad. You might find Damien sells a hell of a lot more albums. >:(same with the air play in Newcastle....only on top 30. Tried NEW FM again on Saturdy night late and got the same old "we'll see what we can do for you" sweetly she replies "thank you soo much" but it wasn't played...........yet again. Have asked the station in an email why it has never been played when I've requested it? nicely mind you ;D Sooooo, I think it's a great debut

Tammy ?? Stephanie ?? Tammy's her mother ( ). Jason Donovan's her stepbrother. Her mother was one of (Benny) Hill's Angels. I must be going insane. Blame it on the weekend and the fact I forced myself to listen to a commercial radio top 40 countdown tonight. My brain hurts

Hey, and I like the fact I've finally learnt how to make my words bigger, after 1007 posts!!!! (Thanks Braffy & Holly!! ) HOping now that Damien's single is actually in some stores, that he will move up the charts, but you are right, there is some strong competition! I think a lot of his fans are more likely to be album buyers than single buyers.

As I said with Deano's single - There's no writing at the top so you have to pull it out of the rack to see who it's by and what's it called. Who designs these covers? Do they live in the real world of browser bins? They could have at least put a sticker on it.

If there's anything wrong with 22 Steps it's it takes a while to get going when you 1st hear it. When it gets to the Beatles bit it really pays off but most teenies have short attention spans so have probably changed the station or drifted off by that time. It's a song that benefits from repeated listening. The intro ain't really a grabber. If radio really gets behind it it'll be a monster hit.

I have a question? How come the EP appeared to be selling well on itunes download but didn't even rate on the download charts? (unless my eyesight is failing me again) Did the sale of the EP count? It was No. 3 on the physical sales - I guess in the old system the single would have enter at No. 3.
