Update: Spud has now sent me 53 html files that she's recovered from her cache. There are some great posts and I'll be compiling them into a summary and posting them to the relevant thread. If the thread no longer exists I'll create one. Thanks Spuddy, you're gem. Once again, would everyone please check your Temporary Internet Files folder for any DLO files dating back to 9th February up to and including 15th April. Thanks.

We're using Firefox Mysterri. and the Tools don't have those categories you mentioned. I'm still looking. edit: Windows crashed while searching so I'll try again - but differently.

Nuffy your Firefox Cache exists in the following path.
C:\Documents and Settings\[User Name]\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\Cache
put the cursor in the URL box and type
about:cache
or
about:cache?device=disk
The page shows a list of URLs in the cache.
Click on an underlined URL and another page will open with more information about that one file.
If you want to view the image from the cache 1. Put Firefox into off-line mode File -> Work Offline 2. Then click the link on this second page.
Hope this helps.

Thanks Mysterri I'll try that. I've been doing a search on My Computer but it keeps crashing midway. I was just finding music files by that stage. Edit: Mysterri, I get as far as profiles but there is no cache listed as a subfolder or file, just chrome and that didn't have anything. Techno-BIL is in Sydney so if I can get him over here again (he was here before i read all this ) then I'll get him to retrieve it for me.

I've never cleared my cache but I *think* it clears it automatically, but there's a chance it doesn't. I'll have a look through mine now... Fingers crossed - I'll let you know if I find anything! EDIT: Sorry all, nothing It clears it every 5 days!

I've just checked my other computer for more DLO pages. I have files dating back to January but for some reason I don't have all the DLO pages. I have about 130 though, and I'm just looking through them now and getting rid of irrelevant stuff, and then I will send them to Mysterri.

Thank yu so much guys. This is tremendous. I wonder if Houndsy's computer has been 'cleaned'. ALthough, she has a new computer so maybe it does it every few days for her as well. Mine gets cleaned out constantly because of all the trouble I have had.

I've found page 2 of Damien's Valentines Day message thread, but not the first page yet. I've still got about 50 more pages to look through so hopefully I will find the page with the actual post. Someone quoted part of his post on the second page so I do have some of it at least. It was the part where he used a smiley and we all got excited. EDIT: I've just finished looking through all the pages I have, and I don't have the messages from Damien or Angela. So can everyone else check to see what you might still have stored on your computer?

Excellent work Spud. I've just received the rest of the files via email and there is so much data there, it's amazing. This will take me a while to compile because a lot of the files don't have a date. I'll see if I can post the messages in their original format complete with smilies and sigtags. If not, they will be text only but it's better than nothing at all. It's such a shame that we've lost Damien's original Valentine's Day post. I wonder if Damien would still have it on his computer? Also Angela's post in regard to the book. Could that still be sitting on her computer? I would suggest that all of Damien's messages be copied and saved. I'll be doing this and if a few others could do it, we at least will have a few back-ups if DLO crashes.
