I've got a short video of Damien singing "Guitar Man" - only 2 mins and it's 100Mb (if that's an issue for you). I hope this is the right place to post it. uk.youtube.com/watch?v=NRK8LzRCs9cYou'll see Eric's replacement James Roach in his debut with Damien. I think Damien mentioned that Eric will be back later in the tour. Sorry it's short but I took it on my photo camera and unfortunately it filled up the memory card! Lol I don't know why he's so yellow  ... maybe it was the lighting, or maybe it was my camera setting... Otherwise, looking gooood!  But I love how he smiles as he sings and moves about. slightly evident sore throat at the start but still beautiful for the rest.  edit: I didn't see before posting that Damien just posted us and said that Eric will, in fact, only be gone 2 weeks.  Oh, and just in case you missed me saying it... Damien's singing was fantastic! Gawd he knows how to have and share his good time on stage. It's so infectious   |

Will try and post more later but suffice to say ....it was a FUNTARSTIC night ;D ;D ;D I haven't kept up with the reports from other gigs so it was all new to me and brilliant!! Hghtlight was definitely Beautiful with the piano .......swoooooooooooooooon..........   The band was fabulous and D did a brilliant job (despite aforementioned sore throat...) It was great to catch up with all the lovely damienites and thanks so much for the gifts for bub and the well wishes  |

 Hi Morgs, Nuffy and Braffy great to see you here after the big night again, was so great seeing you all and Carla, Dawn & Mr Nuffy too hopefully you all got some sleep even though we all felt I was smiling all night and still smiling, just had a great time with all of you and wasn't there such a lovely feeling in the room. We all loved the venue, and also the wonderful rapport between all the performers, and from them to everyone as well. B/f had a brilliant time too and always loves catching up with everyone and was blown away by the music, thoroughly enjoyed the show and always comments how much Damien really brings the audience together and is so fabulous live. Morgs, I just loved seeing you looking so well after bub being born and it was so great to see you in happy-land during Beautiful, enjoying such a gorgeous version of one of your fav songs I really loved that one too and was in bliss-world too Don't think I stopped smililng all night actually, apart from when I was laughing some moments were hysterical! OMG Braffy I didn't realise the Eric photoshop came from you, that was magic I didn't see that or the certificate until Damien had them on stage ( I think Indie showed Eric's pics?) so it was a great surprise and a great laugh Lol I didn't realise they were red fishnets either! At our table we saw something go flying and land on the stage, and Morgs and I just went into silent convulsions seeing where it came from (OMG what a mischievous table you were ) . I was cheering and clapping loudly when I heard Damien do the 10,000 , 11,000 , 22,000 steps/posts song for Braffy, just classic Can't wait to do it all again. I posted in the other thread too but thanks so much to Damien for letting us know Eric will be back as well Edit- oh also forgot to add last night when I posted how much I enjoy the new version of 22 Steps, just love that done acoustic! And lol,sorry I didn't contribute much more than laughter to Damien's "team" during the Everybody's Talking train noise - and wasn't someone  being very  talking about rides etc lol I also didn't realise until just reading then that Damien had asked for requests, I must have been far too by then to realise. Wow so many great moments, great night |

What an all round entertainer. Damien's enjoyment in performing and interacting with the audience is so infectious. DESPITE his increasing discomfort he sang notes healthy throats can't even imagine and still belted out the songs. That's definitely courage, determination and a real gift! IF there are any standing room only tickets left (cause the reserved seats all sold out a while back)... it's so worth going to tonight's show at The Basement, Sydney.The venue is SMALL which means every standing spot is an absolute prime position compared to any other venue. He sang for nearly 2 hours last night - no support band - it's 100% Damien Leith and his 2 back-up musicians - all so talented. And the show tonight (Thursday, 19th June) is being filmed too. Here's a picture of the view from a standing room only spot (click to enlarge the pic)... sorry it's so dark but where the blue lights are in the back is the stage with the grand piano. At the front of the pic is the ballustrade for the raised floor for the standing area (stools available for early birds)...  not bad eh? |

Damien/Indie/someone managed to do it though and that is what you saw last night. It looked great. Nearly time for my shower and to take off again. ( less than 2 hours sleep)

I'm so glad you got to hear Beautiful on the Steinway guys, ;D but so sorry D has a sore throat.  and that Eric has to leave for a while...I just read D's post .So nice of him to drop by like that because he had no option but to leave early. Braffster!! How special do YOU feel? ;D Finally got your song huh? ...and yes, the checked shirts flare. OMG, it sounds like another fantastic night for you all. It's not good that Damien isn't feeling well, so Damien plenty of honey and lemon as the girls have mentioned and I hope that both you and Jarvis are feeling better soon. Braffy, how special do you feel? I'm thrilled for you to have Damien sing your special song on stage. Red fishnet stockings? It will be interesting to hear who wears them tonight! I was a bit sad to hear that Eric was leaving but I've just read Damien's message and Eric will be back in two weeks which means he'll be there for the Canberra concert. Braffy, I would have done your Photoshop request for you using Paint Shop Pro but I thought you specifically wanted a Photoshopper! |

I haven't mentioned that the eye swelling/allergic reaction that Carla was dealing with had gone away before the concert.
