Eric and Jimmy came out and were greeted with a few cheerios from a few in the front tables Then out came Damien to a big cheer from the audience, especially a few at the front. I'm so glad Dawn managed to scribble the concert notes cause I'm having problems remembering the details except my gaga moments ;D In her concert notes Dawn has scribbled: Black, black, black. And we all know that means that Carla's happy! cause it was the Parramatta Instore outfit of total black Tshirt, tight black jeans, Black jacket and the black/white converse shoes. Mind you, Carla wasn't the only one We've discovered a few lovely people who fit the bill and may be reading this thread ( hello! and welcome to DLO!) Anyway, back to the setlist.Catch the Wind Guitar Man > Stairway to Heaven > Guitar Man Annie's Song If Long Way Back > Celebrate > Play that Funky Music White Boy 22 Steps (with Eric's special effects) Everybody's Talking (Wa Wa , toot toot!) [interval]solo time: ... Spud's special request... Danny Boy or Crying Father and Son (I'm ruggedly handsome, I'm still handsome) [Eric and Jimmy are back] Hallelujah > Eric's Blue Moon > Hallelujah [Indie's back] Beautiful Vincent ( mistake! > cossack dance! > Vincent (again) Hotel California Eric, Jimmy and Indie Wild World [encore]KISS! (by Prince) > Wicked Game > irish jig >Wicked Game and he was seriously tonight !... too many s ? LOL not enuf...

Thanks for the report Nuffy. OMG, this just gets better by the minute! Eric played Blue Moon! Did Damien sing this at all, even a little bit? One of my very first posts to DLO (when Damien was in the middle of the Idol competition) was to suggest that he sing Blue Moon and I included a sound file for him to listen to. Eileen replied to me the next day (I had no idea who she was at that stage but I soon worked it out ;D) telling me that she would pass on my message and the sound file to Damien. So Damo, I'm still waiting! This is the sound file I posted and this particular version of Blue Moon is by the Mavericks. Can't you just hear Damien singing this and Eric backing him on guitar? *Siiiiighh* home.exetel.com.au/brytech/mavericksbluemoon.wavSorry, I've gone off on a waffle again. The mention of Blue Moon just threw me! at Dawn's wardrobe report! Black, Black, Black. Glad you ladies have steered more prospective Damienites this way. The set list sounds amazing! Play That Funky Music, gawd I love that song but I sometimes change a word or two Hotel California! I would love to hear Damien sing this in it's entirety one day. I love the lyric change in Father And Son. Damien you're so gorgeous, oh and ruggedly handsome. ;D I'm thrilled that the Irish jig is still alive at each gig and I'm hanging out for this in Canberra. Nuffy what was Spud's special request? Not Hot Potato!?

Hi Mysterri... I'll leave Spud to tell you all but let's just say that with the sign that big, he couldn't very well NOT do it! there's a photo of the sign that someone will post later Blue moon... it took us a while to work it out. But I think this has been what Eric has been playing a while but I never realised till Dawn asked what it was called. Yes, Damien was on fire tonight ... looking well and in great voice. and I'm so grateful that he sang his Beautiful which I requested in the other thread. (and someone - not a yelled out!) And he did not disappoint. In fact, even without a piano it was THE most gorgeous version I've ever heard him sing. He had so much power when it needed it but also such control in the tender moments. Just divine! Without hubby with me, I still got lost in the song as it brought up so much emotion especially as it's our 19th wedding anniversary this Tuesday. I just had to jump to my feet afterwards and clap till my hands were sore. Thank you Damien for singing BEAUTIFUL for me - yes, I know you did it just cause I asked for it LOL But sadly, despite waiting, we didn't get to see him after the show. The beautiful Songbooks remain unsigned but I'm going to hope for Dee Why. After 4 shows, I'm hoping he'll be able to stop for my last one Where has the time gone??

Can't really add much more to Nuffy's wonderful report. Damien was fantastic and I was sitting directly in front of him. ;D ;D Although poor Damien must be getting tired as in this intro to Long Way Back a slip of the tongue had him saying "this arvo" (last time he played at Revesby it was a matinee show ;D) Normally my fav would have been Crying but I really loved Hallelujah last night. Some of the ladies on my table loved Damien’s witty banter. Loved Kiss but had to ask the name as I couldn’t remember the name of it Oh a big thank-you to the lovely Nuffy for my lift home.

SJ you spoiled it! Lol jokes. Yeah I requested Randy Sandy. I wanted Carla to hold up the sign, because she was closer, but then she wouldn't. Don't worry Carla, Damien already knows you're a . So I put the sign on the stage and Damien read it and laughed. Then he said "I've been asked to sing a song called Randy Sandy, which is the first song I ever wrote. It was a terrible song and it went a little bit like this..." and then he sang a couple of lines. From memory, it was something like: "I know a girl called Sandy and I think she's very Randy." I liked the fact that the tune was cool but not really anything special, and the lyrics were kind of ... weird , because it shows how much he has improved as a songwriter.
