ok, the Cultural Centre was packed full, and a really fab venue....great sound. Damien was on FIRE, and despite the audience being what seemed to be mainly older people, they were just SO responsive...even the elderly ladies on the doors were dancing where they were by the end. And Damien reciprocated by really giving it his all....we were soooooo spoiled tonight.
Sis has written the setlist, so I am not going to steal her thunder by giving anything away, except that we heard
A BRAND NEW SONG!!!!ON THE PIANO EVEN!!!!
...and Damien, if you DON"T put this on the next album, I think you will seriously have quite a number of people wanting to meet you in the carpark now!!! You know JUST what I mean!!!!
(and we were downright RUINED with quite a few MORE songs on the Piano, including Beautiful....which made me actually cry...because it was just so....beautiful

Damien was a bit nervous just before he played the new song (as if a crowd could NOT like one of his originals!!) but after the crowd clearly loved it, he was just ROCKIN. So were Eric and Indie, I think they all enjoyed themselves a lot!
And Damien has new connies....remember the red and white ones we all like? well, now we have
lime green...and he said "see my new shoes?" and came forward and did this classic footwear model pose with the toe pointed down and heel up....
What a ham....
I think overall tonight there were more of his own originals than last night, and the crowd there just ate them up.
When he said that he had to go home, this girl called out "We could listen to you alll night!!" and he was just chuffed....you could see it....briefly lost for words....awwww
Now, I didn't get any pretteh at all because the elderly doorlady was only a few feet away from me, and I didn't want to put her at risk by having to crashtackle me to remove a camera..
...buuuuut I do believe that Roxy and Smiley have some treats in store for you.
So you will all just have to wait in patience, won't you?!
oh, other things I remember..."Alone" was written for Alex (so Braffy, now you have something ELSE to thank Alex for!).
The group singing was hilarious, all 3 of them were cracking up and Damien had 3 tries at starting Wicked Game before he could actually do it without laughing. What made it worse was that the audience would start laughing and it set him off again.
They tried to make Indie do a high note, too (which rather threw her, but just as she was game enough to go up to the mike, ERIC did this really DEEP very masculine note....which was hilarious! So that was "Indie's high note")
ok, guys, I am on my friends computer, so I had better get off now and be a bit sociable.
But I CAN"T wait to see what Roxy and Smiley post, it really was the BEST night!!!
