I'm particularly interested in the views expressed about D's direction and what kind of music we want to hear. Of course, many of us will say SING ANYTHING!! ;D but I believe, from what he's told us, this album wil really define the beginning of a new phase in D's career. *takes deep breath* Some of us may find it a challenge. Ooooo.....sounds a bit ominous!

Some of us prefer more slow ballads. I doubt there will be many of them this time, is all.

I really do hope, above everything that Damien is happy with it and from what he has said, he is I think this is going to be a brilliant album and I feel there will be a mix of songs to keep us all happy! As Trilly said, not everyone is into rockier or edgier songs, I definitely am but I loooooooove a good ballad too. Alone is my favourite from WWL and Baby I Love your Way from CTW so I love the slow songs too. I am thrilled for Damien that he is getting an ALL originals album out there and the suspense is killing me!

The suspense is killing me too, I can't wait to hear more about this album as the time gets closer. I remember when WWL came out and the excitement we all felt while waiting to hear the the new songs etc. I really hope D is doing what he WANTS to do and is totally happy with the outcome. ;D I'm also hoping he finally gets away from songs like Dannyboy, Blowers Daughter, Crying etc. As much as he sings them well, they to me just hold him back from being seen as the real musician/songwriter that we all know he is. I may be the only one that doesn't like DB or BD but there you go. Bring on the ORIGINAL album I say Rock my Sox off Damien!!

Ditto to that Roxy,
I am over Danny Boy and Crying and Blowers Daughter etc. Bring on the originals. The rockier the better I say, although I'm with Carla I still do love a good Ballard. Alone and Shine Like the Sun are my fav's also on WWL.

Ooooo.....sounds a bit ominous! Well, thank feck for that! Damien needs to challenge the listening audience a bit more after the covers album. This sounds very promising. He has to rock it up a bit now or forever be the "housewives choice", which will sell some albums but never give him any cred or open up any new audience (or recapture the younger Idol fans he had).

Whilst we are on the subject of Wish Lists, I'd like to add the following: A LIVE sound is absolutely brilliant, as long as: 1. The sound engineers go easy on the echo/reverb applied to Damien's voice. Honestly, his pipes are so phenomenal, the excessive gilding is unnnecessary, IMO. 2. The sound guys also take care of the bass, and give us a rounded, full, soft sound, without the treble being too sharp, which is often the case with digital recordings. 3. The drums don't sound like someone banging a cardboard box! 4. Any extra keyboard or electronic effects are warranted and are not just filler. That's about it for now. :PI don't ask for much do I? I'm really not picky at all!

;D Like everyone else, really looking forward to this album. Originals is great, as I keep saying Dammo has the versatility and the gift......the ballads are just beautiful.....but I have found at a show when it gets rockier or he go's out on a limb as such, takes a gamble, its even better. He can sing anything and I know he can sing his own stuff really successfully too! The fans won't be disappointed I am sure. ;D
