The name of the brother is different on the Harpers Site to the other description earlier, here he is Stephen and on the other he was Matthew. Also, here Mattie has an "e' and in the other one it's spelt Matti (oooh teh intrigue!! I wonder which is the more recent?!) from: harpercollins.com.au/books/9780732286828/Remember_June/index.aspxBook Description
Mattie Finch is just a kid living with his aunt in Ireland in 1990.
Mattie often talks to his mother, but he hasn't seen his father Dave for six months.
Daves been trying to face his family, but there are just too many demons. He can′t forget how he and his brother Stephen escaped the troubles of Northern Ireland ten years earlier to make a new home down South. And how they both fell in love with the same woman ...
For Mattie and Dave, it won't be easy finding a way back to each other. But hope is never far away ...

Great find Nuffy, I'm really really looking forward to reading this novel by Damien. It has all the elements I like in a book. The cover is great too, (if it is the one) I love that we can't see the womans face! ;D How cool that Damien will be touring too when this is released! Great promotion!

. ONE MORE TIME shows some serious writing nous.' DAILY TELEGRAPHIs that a big OOPSIE? I think they just added a quote about Damien's previous book like in the other description at the start of the thread, to indicate Damien's writing talent on previous works in the lead-up to this one. That's how I took that to mean anyway.

Honestly, I wouldn't preorder. I don't think it will come any earlier, and it's good to support local bookshops. (*coughnovestedinterestinkeepingmyjobcough*)

Thanks for the link Shimmery. I can't wait for Remember June to be released! The plot sounds very intriguing and so many scenarios and sub-plots are already bouncing around in my head. Is June the auntie, the mother or the month the brothers escaped Northern Ireland? Oohh, I can't wait to read it. I didn't see the cover for RJ. Where did you see it Roxy?

Wow, thanks Nuffy, great find! It's so exciting to read more about the story, and yay, it's coming out in March! Here's the cover: But remember that the first cover we saw for One More Time didn't end up becoming the actual cover, so you never know, it could change. Interesting to see the sales figures for One More Time, I don't remember ever reading that before. 7000 sounds good for a debut, although I don't really have anything to compare it to ... is it good, Kath? Mysterri here, it was on the first page. ;D

Duh me! Thanks Roxy. That track looks a bit like the one Damien was walking along holding Jagger at Jervis Bay.

When I first saw that cover, this popped into my head:
"Walk with me, down that old dirt track"

A March release! Have you all listened to the link they put for the song? Damien (or Stuart?) added about 10 seconds to the ending of the album intro-song Remember June... it's got a little edgy percussion twist, reminds me of the ending of the song ToGet to You but more reflective. Shimmery, the Stephen vs Matthew does sound like a typo doesn't it? I bet it's supposed to be Stephen! Thanks for posting the picture of the cover, Spud! And Mysterri, I agree with the cover looking like the one Damien posted on his Facebook. He and Jagger looked so gorgeous together... what a great sync with the theme of the book too.

1st April is the release date of the novel, according to D's official site. They've also confirmed the radio release date for FF (8th February). (Am getting slightly worried as there's been no mention of a physical release date, apart from auspOp saying 5th February. ) Damien Announces New Single + Novel 'Remember June'02.02.10Following on from the release of his fourth album, 'Remember June', Leith will release a novel of the same name on April 1st, 2010.
'Remember June' is Leith's second novel, following on from 'One More Time' which was released in 2007. 'Remember June' is set in Ireland in 1990 and tells the story of a family who escaped the troubles of Northern Ireland ten years earlier. Leith has also recently written for media, entertainment, sports and politics website The Punch (www.thepunch.com.au) as a guest columnist.
Listen out for Damien's new single 'Forgive Forget' which hits radio February 8!www.damienleith.com.au/newsEvents/home.do?newsId=20030829006629
