Braffy, I know what you mean about the jokes D makes before he sings Ride On. So true. ;D So D sang a few bars of an ACDC song. Does anyone remember what it was? Love your gift. Lovely bunch of coconuts. Oh, I don't think D will be lending his mankini to Rusty or anyone else. He loves it too much. Thankyou so much ladies for your wonderful reports.

From Annyone - moved from the Photo Thread
hey sorry bit late..but am finishing packing to head over to Adelaide to help Son move out and clean etc..and drive..lol. Well finally made it to at least one concert so far and even with the hour drive and a mad dash to..you know at a KFC.. I and my big Sis had a wonderful night. Even though we were right up the back had a reasonable view and it was loud...so no probs hearing Damien. We shared our table with another couple and as they live around the corner and the hubby really enjoyed Damien on Idol decided to see him live..lol. He even has an album..CTW. As always D' did not disappoint and I think a couple more fans added to the list, Hope I didn't scare them too much..hahahaha. I was really chuffed to see the Irish Drummer that D had with him Eric and Indi, apparently he is really Irish..lol. Missed the big band sound a teensy bit but Eric is awesome and Indi is well Indi..lol. The Book... I sort of said can I read it..but I was too far away..lol.. He was hanging onto it like he thought we might make a run at it.. pmsl. He made a point of saying it was the only copy....haha. I loved the Irish songs he added even if I didn't know them from Reilly..lol. (old Irish saying for those not aware.) The crowd knew the songs or at least a good percentage and sung along with him. He is changing his patter a bit as he knows we have heard it a few times and now he can add the kiddies..as they are now old enough to give him funny stories..like you really think that a 4 and 2 year old will amuse themselves... I am looking forward to seeing him again soon..hoping for Melb..but maybe praying lol.. anny xo

You all did a fantastic job with the reports and thanks for all the setlist and comments especially Braffy, it was like being there! Amazing setlist notes for both nights! I was really excited reading the setlist of the 2nd night - wow for me that was the setlist of this tour so far, would love to have seen all those songs with hopefully "Wouldn't Change A Thing" ! Was thinking (not at the expense of RJ songs) that with the Irish themes would love some U2 in there as well, or some Van Morrison as Damien was mentioning a while back could be in there too. Really hoping for any U2, because I just love them, lol, so as far as I'm concerned would love anything of their's done in Damien's way. So exciting that Kevin was there on the bodhran, wow I hope he might be at some of the other shows as that drumming will really add a beautiful element again to all the songs. Am so excited to hear "Ride On", hopefully Damien will do it at one of the shows I go to as well, I really love that song and would also love it if Carrickfergus returns too. Looks like you all had an exciting couple of nights and that it was a really cosy enjoyable venue, thanks for all your wonderful reports and Dawn OMG so glad you didn't lose your camera, what a downer that would have been on such a good night.

There are many things that I have left out of my reports because Dawn will be adding her own spin on things in the next day or two and I wanted her to be able to say them. ;D

Well Shims, when you are at a show and Damien asks the audience what would they like to hear, what you need to do is yell out in a very loud and clear voice "U2". Yell it out over and over if you have to. ;D

bella even when I'm right in front of Damien, I don't think he's ever heard me call out a request yet it's like a nightmare when your voice goes quieter and quieter but you want it to be louder Lol but I will give it a go and try all the same, U2 is easy to say at least

Not a lot to add. But when D came out in his black t-shirt, black jacket, shiny short black boots and tight black jeans I just went D did tell a little tale about how he went to the door of the room Indy and Rusty were watching a movie called Marley and Me. But Rusty couldn't answer the door as he was crying too much and he is such a lovely guy and we'll get to meet up with him again at the shows... hehe Indi was kinda embarrassed, but awwwwww Rusty's a snag But we did have a fun time and apart from the horrific lighting all was great. Second night, we had the club staff behind us and boy oh boy did they know their Irish songs and knew exactly when to sing the rousing chorus ;D But first....D came out in the black jacket done up, tight black jeans and duck-egg blue joggers (cute) after the jacket came off, with much applause and a few get it offs....we could see the grey T-shirt with black writing....sigggghhhh okay he didn't take any more off...... The Irish song was Along with the Girls and after the "joke" re D's status we all sang Happy Birthdy to Indi for the Sunday ;D It was great to see the one and only copy of Remember June and terrific that D remembered to promote it. Damien called the Rocky Road to Dublin his Irish rapping song The other instrumental was Toss the Feathers and I thought the ACDC song was Highway to Hell (is that right ladies??) or you can hum me a few notes and I'll get it The story about Damien looking after Jarvis , Jagger and little friends was hilarious. It was assumed that little boys would sit and play with their lego for 3 and a half hrs yeah right....they strangely wanted to be entertained......this involved D dancing for 3 nd a half hrs to Robbie Williams' Bodies....he proceeded to show us the dancing and leaping he did ....better than a Jane Fonda workout . I think daddy was a touch exhausted after all that and Damien certainly reinforced how fit you need to be looking after little boys.....lol.....we noticed Damien in those tight black jeans We were also given a demonstration of what is involved in potty training aand how there are certain signs....... like when the child goes very quiet, moves back into the corner and gets this expression and sound I think a few related....... Damien's story now revolves around a game called Catch and Kiss and how he didn't realise what was involved in a French Kiss ( lol .....it's okay D, I didn't know at 9 either ) We also got a little of Sultans of Swing from Eric.....but just a little I do have one big complaint.........why on earth were we forced to listen at interval and the end of the show to Mr Buble......this was the perfect time for Remember June to be played...please D try and talk the clubs into that....... The special surprise was the addition of Kevin Kelly in the group and he certainly did some impressive solos ;D Once again Damien was very obligin and signed Kazza's beatiful Club poster and posed with the s. We were mainly taking the signing as an opportunity to do a non-hades photo shoot and everyone was most happy to be snapped and posted. Thanks "guys"
