My 4 signed came in the mail today, hand delivered to the door by my postie  went to JB and here my patience paid off......they couldn't find it.....under the counter or on the computer...urgent call to music guy.......he goes back to CD section and walks back with 5 copies  in the meantime the boss wanders in "Oh, I know you, you wereat JB at Kotara when I was manager there, that was cool".....convinced him he needed to listen to the CD and asked him for a favour "can I leave these cards....  .....here on the front counter?" Oh sure, no problem   ...all 5 were paid separately & they found the missing 5 CDs   One more to get from a Sanity store and the itunes one  I digress.....not much that I can add...I was a fan of the Travelling Wilburys, so really enjoyed HWC and YGI, still really love the different DB and yup would be a great single...havealways loved PW  , thought ID, SAMTM, IDAN were terrific.....oh gosh what they all said previously. If someone was going to do a cover of Orbison, Damien is the perfect choice......he really extends his voice and soars beautifully....better stock up the lemon and honey D for the tour Thank you for remembering us again....we think you rock too  |

Every opinion is valid Glawzy no worries. ;D You don't like the rap.. but man, I LOVE it!  To me it brings the song into the 21st century. I heard D do it without the "modernisation", and honestly, it kinda fell flat, the song is rather one-note, but the update really works for me! It's fun, and nothing like the gangsta rap I find so unpleasant..it's a tiny portion of a very poppy revisioning..and damn, it WORKS, IMO! ;D |

I really can't pick one favourite song on this album yet as I love them all!  I'm so in love with this album, and it's great because DH is loving it too! |

What can I say about ROY!!! THIS IS BRILLIANT!!Had the chance to listen to the album over and over and over on our 3 hour drive to Dalby, and our 5 hour drive home! (on repeat all the way) and have to say it really is gorgeous! ;D ;D ;D As some of you know, I wasn't too sure about this album at all,  I wasn't familiar with some of the songs and had to google quite a few to have a listen. But to my surprise, I found I did know them, just not the titles! Damien has done such an amazing job, not playing too much with the classics, but putting his own spin on some of the others which equals a masterpiece when it comes to covers!! Not many artist's can get that balance right. IMO Damien has done this justice and Barbara O should be very pleased! 10/10 from me! My standouts are... DREAM BABY!!! omfg Damien sounds amazing on this, I love it from the start to the finish, that breathy start to the RAP and just the whole damn thing!! LOVE THE RAP as it adds to the song and would be perfect for RADIO!!! DROVE ALL NIGHT!!! I actually knew this song, so was happy to hear it made the album, I was so excited to hear the whole song after listening to the previews over and over!! A great song to sing along to and Damien makes it sound soo soooo Sexy!  it's just WOW!! HANDLE WITH CARE!!! Just love the inclusion of Bobby Flynn (who woulda thought  ) I like how the music fades out while Bobby's voice takes over, all gravely just like Dylan's did, it's just a brilliant song, I love how this song makes me feel! ;D WORKING FOR THE MAN!!! another great song, Can't wait to hear this at the concerts and sing along!! (quietly so as not to alarm anyone!  ) YOU GOT IT!!! Fantastic!! Damien sings this so well, and after hearing him sing it live, it's even better!!  MYSTERY GIRL!!! Love the tone in Damien's voice on this, so smooth! PRETTY WOMAN!!! what can I say, it's brilliant! such a stand out, MERCY!! IN DREAMS!!! so emotional and moving!  BLUE BAYOU!! I knew this song!! ha. This is great with the McClymonts added input, great song. ;D I hope this album goes gangbusters for D, he so deserves it after all the hard work he has put into it! Can't wait to hear alot of these songs on the tour, he'll bring the house down with them... Imagine a tour of RJ and Roy!!!  |
