Yeah Dawn, I agree, I've never been a huge rap fan but it does work in "Dream Baby".  As I listen to it, I even find myself doing some rap dance moves.   It was great when we called into Sanity in Dalby to see "Roy" up on the shelves and at #5. ;D |

HE IS CORRECT.
After listening the the album a few times his voice is definitely better and that surprises me as I thought that not possible especially his middle and lower register.
I think Barbara Orbison has picked the right person to record Roy's songs as Damien has done a terrific job.
My favorites are:
Crying
It's Over
In Dreams
Dream Baby--(now this is different )
Running Scared
She's a mystery to me
I drove all night
Only the lonely
Pretty Woman
However there is not one song I do not like and also this album has such a variety of different styles of singing.

It was interesting, Brian, to hear him talking about having been getting fit to record this album and how how he feels it's the best he's ever sung too.  I noticed last night on the live chat that many people said they could hear it on the album...and that was not not just the Damienites we know! ;D |

My favourite Australian Idol winner singing songs from my favourite music artist of all time. Does not get much better than this guys and girls! Purchased the CD only a few days ago and have already listened to it 20 times. Still got The big O's "Mystery Girl" Album and played that to compare. Well done D! The Big "O" would be proud of you!
Already got my tickets for the Jupiters gig in July! Get ready for requests for California Blue Damo!

I've just had to push this CD by playing it to anybody who I come into contact with who has a cd player handy!! Mind boggling fantastic but then you all know that. Big W today had copies of the album parked along the side of the single checkout queue for everybody to see, it was under $20! The lady next to me picked it up and I tried to convince her to buy it, saying how good it was etc. etc. but she put it back. Not to be beaten, I suggested maybe she could ask for it for M/Day!! She said that was a good idea!! She must be for not just taking my word and picking it up |

Keeping in mind that D said he wants to learn to dance, just maybe it's also to improve his fitness for his voice's sake. He'll be really belting out on the national tour and we've all noted the improvement in his vocals already....just imagine......  |

I just think this album is SENSATIONAL........ My whole family, which is DH and 6 yr old just are loving it! I get to play and play and play and keep playing it. My uncle a die hard Roy fan has been posted a copy, not to compare the 2 but to brag about how good this cd is. I really believe "the voice" is at his best ever! I think I have a favourite song, then hear the next one and just lovin it all. The voice of an angel! I think a very big congratulations on this one, it shows the passion and genuine love for singing! Sorry but I really love this one, it has touched a nerve and really hit home. |
