Can't wait to see Damien and Melanie do the foxtrot! I was thinking he'd do the Viennese Waltz this week (half did it last week) and was looking forward to that, but Foxtrot should be even better! I've been very disappointed that their fantastic performance hasn't received more press..all the "drama" (manufactured???) over Brynne has taken away from the actual dance. D's performance was easily one of the best on the night and hasn't rated a mention... not.happy.jan. Absolutely Smiley. I have been so as well. Why is it that Damien, and a couple of the others don't rate a mention in the publicity, especially when he scored so well and did such a fantastic job! Hopefully when he turns out another exceptional performance this week and is seen as a REAL CONTENDER, that may change. Hi Glawz, I truly get the impression they thought D was going to be a "side" contestant..and the initial focus was to create drama over Brynne and plug Manu and Sam. But I'm hoping another strong performance from Damien & Mel will change things. They pricked Todd's attention anyway... It's very frustrating that his A1 performance on the first show has been essentially ignored. On Sunrise this am ..after all the hullabaloo earlier in the week about Brynne and Manu they barely mentioned his performance..I wonder if they even watched it..makes me furious!

Smiley, Glawz and Kath and everyone, they can't ignore him forever! Go "Mr Leith". Another awesome performance this week and .........and......and...........Manu might not be such a Manu, he might be a Minu instead. Congratulations Damien and Mel. I am hearing a lot of great comments from many people on how well Damien danced. Just "GO DAMMO" .........go knock 'em dead!

I have funny memories of the foxtrot for hubby's & my first wedding dance. After 3 or 4 private lessons all people could see was hubby mouthing his counting... so cute! I'm sure Damien will be well past the counting stage Just a little gripe about the DWTS apparent bias... there's a page for the score card. They have the breakdown of all the judges scores and some comparisons, placing etc. Notice something seriously WRONG??? : DAMIEN & MEL 23....EQUAL 3RD THANK YOU VERY MUCH! definitely games being played... But good news is that several sites repeated the Popsugar article last week which said "The night opened strongly with Damien Leith’s impressive cha-cha routine,"

Once again, I'm happy for D to be a dark horse. I think the public will have responded well to their performance and they have those great judges scores in the bag, which count too. I felt that this morning's Sunrise appearance was foreshortened due to the Bridge drama as well. Still, FOXTROT this weekend! SQUUEEE! Fred and Ginger time! This should be lovely, can't wait!!

Trot your stuff again Damien. He is being ignored by the powers to be. Let your feet show them who is a contender.
