Meanwhile, here's the Weekend Sunrise interview that Samantha did Sunday morning (yesterday?) with the other dancers including Damien... no-one got any sleep on Saturday night by the sounds of it!

Can't wait to watch D's dance again ;D Thanks Trills for getting this together for us.  WOW sounds like things got pretty heated in the audience last night with Brynne's hubby going nuts after the comments she got from the judges!! and from Sonja in the Green room!! it made front page on ninemsn!! One little critque from me too...... Damien needs to eat more!!! I know some of you have been saying this of late, but WOW I didn't realise how skinny he had become!  if he want's to keep up this level of training, he really needs to look after himself and get some meat back on!! It won't matter if he can dance the pants off the others or not, as he won't be able to sustain that kind of pressure/training for too long unfortunately!!  sooner or later the body will want/need to rest and he has no reserves!! I know it's not easy, trust me I know!!  He still looked amazing though... ;D |

Anyone having trouble getting through on the phone line? I have been trying for ages this morning and getting busy signal. I tried Jan Stephensons number in case it was my phone but it started t o ring for her..I hope this means D is getting lots of votes but I wonder how many he is missing out on if they can't get through... NOT.HAPPY.JAN. I have now gone through and tried every other contestants number and they have all rung immediately. Damien's is the only one that goes to a busy signal. There's a slight pause then a click then beep beep. This is costing Damien votes! We need to contact someone about it.  |

UPDATE: I just rang Channel 7 and the guy said .."oh yeah I noticed that this morning and I've contacted (someone) and I'm waiting to hear back from them, so hopefully it'll be fixed soon."
WTF?! How is this fair? What a joke!

thanks for ringing channel 7! I was still having that problem at midnight (2 am east coast) so it couldn't possibly be congestion!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  still engaged this morning. Since the show I'v got maybe 5 votes through on the land line  Video is working now. Thanks Trilly  |

I've been waiting to hear from someone..as I didn't try the number last night, so I have no idea how long this has been out for. Clearly fr quite a time and maybe the whole time? Anyone else vote via phone last night? It came good for a second about 10 minutes ago and I got a couple of votes in then I have just been hitting redial since then and have only got 2 more through. The rest of the time it is the dropout signal (different from a busy signal..there's a definite pause, click, then drop out.) I can't believe this is happening. |

Late off the mark here but had Mum over for Mother's Day and by the time we had watched the playback and I had taken her home it was time for bed Seems to me the contestants are in groups: Group 1, two men, two women, likely contenders: Damien, Manu, Hayley and Lara. Group 2, two men, two women, OK but need lots more: Jan, Sam, Nick and Nathan. Group 3, one man, one woman: pretty hopeless: Brynne and Occy. Unlike most of you, I liked Manu's performance. I didn't think him arrogant, just positive and it was fun to watch. His posture wasn't the best but he looks to have lots of rhythm. Hayley has obviously had lots of performance experience, the way she was looking at the camera and her confidence in her moves. Lara was quite good, but whoever dressed her needs a telling off. That 'almost flesh coloured' pink dress was insipid, and put it with her barely there lipstick and her hair falling all over her face all the time and I thought she didn't look the best. Then there was Damien: WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!He was just great - lots of rhythm and that 'ass' was moving so well! I agree with Trilly about the facial expressions, but it is better than the stunned mullet look Nathan had. Jan will find it hard at her age as she will be stiffer and is obviously a bit heavier, and Sam looked either petrified or disinterested. Nick and Nathan were both a bit stiff and need to loosen up and 'dance' a bit more. I was interested in the Viennese Waltzs that were done too - I thought it was a rather regal dance, meant to flow and glide, and I was surprised at how many of them were lying on the floor and dipping and flying around (but I am no expert). Now, back to the voting.........  PS Mum went home with instructions on how to vote too ;D |

Just had to pop in to gush about how fabulous The Man was last night...he totally rocked!!  Was (so plesantly relieved and ) surprised just what a fab mover he is on the dance floor...shoulda guessed I suppose  I was at work but got a timely sms and went to watch d's performance in one of the empty rooms lol (I work at a hotel) but didn't watch the rest... Ok...sms'ing for The Lad now |
