DWTS - 8.5.11 - Week 1

Two of our young office staff asked me if I saw DWTS last night.

Yes was the answer and after their going on about the crappy judges they commented on how they had previously thought that Damien was a bit of a nerd but his really cool -unquote

Yep, 5 in a row worked fine!!

But can't help thinking that the 'immediately after the show vote'
is imperative for casual voters and that time has passed, or they simply voted for someone they could get through to!!!!

The way I understand it is that the results are 50% Judges and 50% Public so even if Damien received zero votes he is through.

That is how I see it nevertheless it is most frustrating trying to vote and not being able to do so

I've watched the vid quite a few times *ehem* and one thing stands out to me - the four couples who did the best last night were placed in the front row when the came down the stairs: Manu, D, Hayley and Lara. Interesting!

Bummer about the busy signal. It's working now though.

That's great news Brian! D would be rapt to think younger people are finding him !!

Thanks Trilly for the upload. I managed to get it this morning during my off peak but haven't had a chance to watch it yet. Only enough to see that it was working.

The dark horse is doing OK ;D

I'm texting my votes. I have prepaid and I take care of recharging it, so that way I don't have to explain any sudden jump in our home phone bill

2nd Favourite at this early stage is fabulous! Go Damien!!! Start out strong with the front runners and then finish strong too - I like it!


From memory the dancers alternate the first two weeks between Ballroom and Latin styles, so if it's similar to past years I'm guessing Damien might be doing a waltz perhaps this coming week? Would be beautiful to see, I think his lightness on his feet will give him a real lilt when it comes to sweeping across the dancefloor.

Further down the track I'm really looking forward to seeing him do a tango as well, I think those dramatic dances will really suit him, with all his performance skills he could make it amazing!
