Thought the top 4 were spot on....and so very close in standard. I thought D managed to move all the bits he was supposed to move perfectly, especially the legs, ankles and feet. Noticed that at least 4 of the dances will be od latin American persuasion, so expecting D to do very well in those and if he manages to move those hips and ass any more ....    oh lordy  Fantastic start D you were impressive and surprised even Todd ;D The number to ring is 1902557718 and you'll be having the lovely man himself thanking you (hehe recorded of course) By the way, not a fan of Manu, first time I've seen him and not worth a standing ovation, but he had flair, panache and showmanship along with the arrogance...so was worth the extra point...we'll see Hiya Smiley  lovely to see you ;D Hiya Angela thank you for the wishes and your son was well worth watching...a very snappy, accomplished and smooth dance sequence...yup loved the outfit and style too his showmanship was a plus too |

Was fantastic how the judges had so many good things to say, and that Helen thought Damien's feet were so suited to Latin style dancing! I loved the ending of the routine, wow what a beautiful line Damien made as he held Mel in that final moment, he has such elegant lines with his long arms and legs, I think he will also do the ballroom dances beautifully! Yay - and so happy that teh rockstar black pants of hawtness made it to the dancefloor too   I love how even though it was a new environment we could all recognise Damien, he seemed like himself - but his DANCING self!  Loved the big stage slide too  , wow that was unexpected!! Hope we can get a good shot of that! |

Loved the big stage slide too , wow that was unexpected!! Hope we can get a good shot of that! Have to agree with all that Shims - Damien really was being himself up there - his new DWTS shiny self!! Looking forward to lots of weeks of lovely surprises!! BTW Shims, your first number at the bottom of your post is wrong, it should be: 1902 55 77 18 which has actually been engaged for the last 10 mins!  hopefully because so many people are ringing it!! What a shame the stage slide was kind of blurred by the special effect fireworks, would love to have seen it in full!! What a fantastic start by Damien - you certainly have some dancing legs and skill and you can only get better and betterer!!  Woooo Hoooo!! |

After the initial euphoria, my only critique re D's performance tonight would be his facial expressions.. felt they were a tad overdone  .. but honestly, his movement was so INCREDIBLE tonight it's such a minor comment! |

Twikle Toes himself tonight. That was awesome Damien. Great comments from the judges as well.
Did not see much else of the show as we were having our Mothers Day dinner. But everyone was surprised how good he was. I just got home and voted once now the line is busy hope that is votes not a problem with the system.

If anyone can't get through on the phone line just send a TEXT with DAMIEN as the message to 191 777  I haven't tried on the phone line, but the text line is working fine, they send a message back to you instantly to let you know your vote went through |

I agree Trills, I think it is the kind of thing Damien will look at when he watches it and work on it..... really everything else was perfect!! I thought the judges and Sonya were nasty to poor Brynne = she actually seems like quite a sweet girl and Sonya's comment was uncalled for! I could see Damien's partner Mel roll her eyes at Damien after she said it - good for you Mel!! I think Mel and Damien make a lovely pair = she's just the right height and size for Damien! |

I keep forgetting to say!!! Loved all the coloured sparkle details on Mel's dress, it looked gorgeous! She's such a good partner for Damien, seems to really understand and listen as a teacher and they match really well when they are dancing together. Cannot wait for next week's dance!

Phew, by the time it came to the end of the show, it was hard to remember D's performance  as fantastic as it was!!! I will look forward to trilly's video so I can watch it again & again &.... ( seeing as the DVD recorder I bought especially is not yet up and running  ) Please can someone confirm for me before I go crazy on the phone  so... 1902557718 from my home phone is 55c 191777 from my mobile is 55c using the skpe link to call 1902... is that a free call? I will be making a few calls now but I'll go nuts when I know what it all costs!!  |

Wasn't Damien just absolutely smoking!!! Gawd luv him all I can remember is the "thinking of my ass. Go around. Go around"  and the smooooth moves. Yes, I noticed his footwork and positions. I don't hink it came natualrally to him at all. By the look of total concentration and frustration on hi face during rehearsals he was working sooo hard. It's going to be harder from now on! I'm a bit worried though with all the high praise... He's totally blown his 'dark horse' advantage and they'll be expecting so much more of him from now on... unlike poor Occy... or Brynne. (The DWTS forums are full of viewers disgusted with Sonya. The whole panel are just bullies at their worst. But if Brynne has the courage to stay on, she's had lots of people pledging votes to her as a protest.... um, there goes Damien's sympathy votes! Just as well he doesn't ned any sympathy! By the way, I've been loving all the comments in this thread so far tonight. I got on late. Trilly!!!! have you got the upload yet??? I can only watch Ch 7 with grainy reception cause our HD setop box won't pick up Ch7 - we haven't had a chance to fix it yet  I want to watch it again. Thanks so much for taping it  That will be so good for D's family o/s too. Angela is right to be so proud of her son. Also, I thought the DWTS site would have had the highlights up already for viewers to review and vote?? |
