Woot! So glad you're able to go tonight, Roxabaloxa! Have a blast! looking forward to reading your impressions, Ms ;D Bella, Smiley (and others) I'm sorry you can't make it. It's tough when people have to travel long distances or change plans, especially for a 40 min set.

Report, Report, Report here it is..... Firstly I'm so sorry Smiley, Sis, Bella and Tarapanda couldn't go to this show I missed you all. I ended up going with a friend from work...a complete Noob when it comes to Damien or Carrie for that matter, so I thought this was going to be interesting to get a fresh honest opinion on what she thought of OUR Damien! WELL, after a few songs, I thought I was sitting next to a Damienite!!! She LOVED him! and said she would of preferred listening to Damien sing all night rather than Carrie! ;D ;D I might take her along to other gigs in the future The venue was quite large but had a very intimate feel about it, we were only 10 rows from the front so had a great view Damien sang in no particular order as I can't remember it... Hallelujah (holy shit, this was the best I've heard and he got such a huge response from the crowd too) All I want is You (A blast from the past, wow was so excited to hear this again) Maybe Someday (this is just beautiful, and I loved hearing the power behind it) Unless you say so (Damien started with this and it went down a real treat) yeeehaaa! Beautiful (absolutely gorgeous, this just gets better and better doesn't it) I'll be your Baby tonight (SEXY as!! I loved it) Not sure if I've missed any, I think that was all he sang, but boy Damien and the boys sure did make a great impression, I heard a few people saying WOW how good is he!!! Carrie came on and what a pocket rocket she is, gorgeous and a very powerful voice. lots of laser beams in our faces, massive amounts of fog machine which has upset my sinus like no one's buisness!! As Trilly mentioned, her band is very loud indeed and I feel she could easily turn it down a notch, but maybe thats how they all liked it. She did an awesome cover of Never Tear us Apart....I really liked that. All in all, a fantastic night out! Thank you Damien

Thanks Roxy - I actually couldn't wait to read your review. There was an ancient song back in the 60's called "To know him is to love him" - Sums up Damien in a phrase!!! Glad your friend has been initiated into the ranks of D-lurve!

Woohoo (or should I say Yeehaaa!) Absolutely LOVING hearing that Damien has had such a brilliant reaction from the audiences at these gigs!! He certainly seems to have just let rip with his originals and his best covers. Way To Go, Mr L!!! Haha, loving the story of the new recruit too Roxles! Your excitement and pride in D jumps off the page! Thankfully we were not affected by the smoke machine waaay back in the poor seats in Melbourne. The lights were spec, but the angle meant they hit us square in the eyes. What's the capacity of the venue, Rox? It seems pretty big by the photo on FB. Gawd, how I'd love to see D headlining a stadium sized venue one day, even if only as a one-off. Sigh. The smaller, more intimate venues are brilliant too, of course for the up-close-and-personal experience. So glad again you had a blast! ;D

hehe, thanks Ladies!! glad you can feel my excitement and pride in my post, because I was certainly feeling both in abundance!! When Damien opened with Unless you Say so, I noticed alot of the folk around me were toe tapping, clapping and seat dancing, so I knew he had won them over from the get go!! woohoo go the originals!! ;D My friend made mention when Damien started singing Beautiful that she had heard that song before, and said it must of been from the ads from Estee lauder (which Damien told everyone about before he sang) she was pretty impressed as she said, that is HUGE exposure for an artist!! My head was nodding all night long in agreement of course! Trills, I'm not sure how many that venue holds, but it's like an arena/gladiator style venue. We were lucky to be on the ground level, there were two sections to this, and then all the other seats went up and around the stage, so everyone got a great view. I'm guessing around the 1500 mark maybe and it wasn't quite full full, as there were a couple of empty seats scattered around, which seemed rather odd. Yes, that blastered fog machine is so annyoing, I get it is great for the spectacular lighting but boy am I suffering today! can't breath at all!! Yes no Roy last night, which didn't bother me at all, I'm glad Damien chose to show case more originals than covers, just shows that they are brilliant and people loved them!! ;D Squeee!! so happy for Damien that these were great shows for him and that he really impressed so many people! Love ya guts D!!

Thanks again Roxy ;D I wanted to ask how the audience reacted to the originals but you answewred anyway with the foot tapping etc. Damien is breaking out now and is not afraid to sing his own songs even if 'people don't know them' Have faith Damien. As we always say .......Your songs can stand on their own.

thanks for your report Roxy, you lucky duck Did notice that Hallelujah was missing from the Melb. show, thought he might have finally put it to bed Not that I don't love it, but there are so many more! But nope up it's pops again. AIWIYou is pretty random... I do hope it puts bums on seats at his own shows. Oh, I hope he gets the Brisbane show back on track.
