Wow, you cetainly had a wet old evening, MM, Dawn and Brian. Glad you managed to dry off eventually and no-one was hurt. Aah, I see you've picked up on the weather theme in Chapter Seven Smiley, which is a very Irish pre-occupation too. Fits in nicely with the musical influences! Smiley said "I have to say though I think Damien was being prophetic in writing this album. There is quite the storm theme throughout: Last Sad Song: "You never see the damage in the eye of the storm" I Can Stop You Crying: "Chase the clouds from your skies" Never Forget: "From the storm clouds in my head" Stronger Than Superman: "No hurricanes will blow you down" Faith In Me: "So let the lightning strike, let the thunder roll" A Million Reasons: "Rain is pouring down" The Lonely Nights: "Thunder rolling into my soul that's what your loving is, Lightning striking right to my core" *spooky* Add to that "(Always take) The Weather With You" that he sang at one of our shows (or "Stormy Mondays" as Roxy likes to call it!! " Haha!!! The secret is out! LOVE that song, and so appropriate ! PS. Quoting in windows can be tricky, so go the old fashioned way!

Oh my goodness Brian, that was certainly an adventure! So glad you and your family (and Dawn & Maggie) made it home safely- it must have been bedlam at the venue..having to get out BECAUSE of the weather but being hindered by it getting home! Aargh! I have to say though I think Damien was being prophetic in writing this album. Maybe D can moonlight as a weather forecaster!!! LOL Smiley - good pick-up Brian, glad you eventually got home okay. What an adventure!

Very clever Smiley.
OMG! Brian. That sounds like a dreadful situation to be in. I hope there was no damage to your place or your sons. How scary.
Dawn and Maggie May, you would have looked like drowned rats. Even umbrellas wouldn't have been of any help in rain like that.
I'm glad you were able to get back to the Hotel and dry out. What a night.
Brian, I am in agreement with you about the starting times. I mentioned to Damien at the Vanguard about it. He was cut short from singing because it was late and I said not to have a support then or start earlier. I'm like you, I pay my money to see Damien although I must admit that I am looking forward to seeing/hearing Andy Brown.
Andy's scheduled time is only 15 minutes shorter than Damien's.

Gosh Brian, as if missing Damien's show wasn't enough, you then had to contend with flooding, roadblocks etc. You poor things, my wishes go out to you and the family. Smiley, you are a card!! How clever to pick up all those lyrics and suit to the occasion, well done!

I hope those that attended before are able to go to this, or others that were not able to make it last time.

Due to the popularity of Damien Leith’s recent national ‘Without a Fight’ tour – we are pleased to announce that more dates have been added in 2014. This is a strictly limited run, so get in fast.
The tour which saw Damien play to packed houses, celebrated his all new and critically acclaimed originals album ‘Chapter Seven’ along with some of the classic songs he has recorded over the past seven years. Don’t miss this opportunity to hear one of Australia’s finest Singer/Songwriters performing in a stripped back, intimate setting. His voice and storytelling will take you on a journey, from the first note to the final applause.
‘Very few voices excite me, but I fell in love with Damien’s voice when I heard it. His unique voice has inspired me to write again, much in the same way Roy Orbison’s voice inspired me to write. I believe Damien is going to be a big star. All the best to you, Damien. Looking forward to good things with you. –Joe Melson (Co-writer of Crying, Blue Bayou and Only the Lonely)
