OK I know I am late posting this but to tell you the truth I have not been well all day. I am only reading all these recaps now. Everyone has basically said it all but I must say how nice it was for Maggie May to come and say hello to us at the break between Mark and Damien. Maggie was there with her daughter and unfortunately the daughter was not well so they were unable to join us after the show. It was also good to meet Shims b/f. He is a funny bloke. We are considering getting chrome poles. Apparently b/f is able to get them for us. We will have to get a quote. Oz's brother is also a member of this forum known as B4uistand and he was at the concert sitting elsewhere but joined us at the end. Morgaine's hubby was there and Oz's mum. We all thanked Hype's dad and I think he appreciated that. At least he knows now that the Damienites are polite (in public anyway). I love the photos, especially of waiting for Morgaine. I kept saying Morgaine's not here, Morgaines's not here but I may as well have been talking to my kids because no one was listening to me. I am jumping all over the place here because as I said earlier I haven't been well at all today and that part of me is glad that I didn't go to the concert tonight. Last night Damien seemed more relaxed. Told funny little stories. When he went to sing Unchained Melody he mentioned that it was the second song he had ever sung after Oklahoma. He then went on and sang a couple of lines of it (sorry, but Hugh Jackman nails this song) and then he couldn't remember what came next so he said 'see, that's how long it's been, I can't remember the words' - something like that. He sang a couple of audience participation songs but the night before was better for that. I would like to see him in a collared shirt. The TShirt look doesn't do it for me. GJ originally bought 10 roses, 1 for each of us to give Damien, but it was decided to keep them all together in a bunch and then she threw them up to him on stage. He didn't see who had thrown them and asked who it was. When GJ was identified he came over and gave her a kiss. Damn if I'd known that was going to happen I would have demanded my rose. The poster, Maggie May was Beleith it Damien, You're a Star. One loud woman who was NOT in the front row called out about him not coming to Adelaide and saying she had to fly here to see him. He answered her and apologized and said that they are working on it and hopefully he will be there soon. I kind of got the impression it may be sooner than the big tour but I may be wrong. At the end of the night he hand clapped a few people and the lady from Adelaide came and was standing near me (I had the end seat that is the on Oz's siggy) He came near her and i was so tempted to be the that I should have been. I was in reach of 'the calves of power'. I was so tempted to grab them. It was a great night. After our photos under Damien's picture we relocated to the Hut bar/coffee shop where more banter took place with all that were still present. There was a happy bunch of us. I was reluctant to leave but if I didn't make the 12.15 train I would have had to wait for the 1.45 . Irishscorpio and I took the tram back to the railway station. The tram seemed to be in slow motion. There were times I felt like jumping out and pushing it. At this stage I think my blood pressure was rising because 12.15 was getting closer and closer. I had visions of kicking off the shoes and running like mad (as someone in my physical condition should not do too often). Anyway, I think we arrived at about 12.13 IrishS had already told me to bolt when the tram pulled in which is what I did. By doing that I was not able to say a proper goodbye. for Irish and I am sorry it is late. Anyway, as I am running along I quickly looked a the indicator board to find the platform I needed and it had to be several away didn't it. I think the guard heard the clunking of shoes and the puffing of breath and the pounding of heart. He looked up at me and waited for me to get onto the train. As I walked towards a seat there were some yobbo type guys there and one made a disparaging sound as I went past. *blhh smilie to him* I journeyed home and got home about 1.40 and then up again at 4. I am looking forward to Sundays concert. Just a note about Crazy's dedication. Owing to the fact that I had been at the concert on Wednesday night as well i had heard Mark sing the song Crazy. I sent him an email through his Myspace site and mentioned that we would be there again that night in the front row. One of our members is named Crazy and that it would give her a big buzz if he thought of it that when he sang it at that nights concert if he could mention her name when he introduced the song. Let me just say it had the desired effect although he almost forgot to mention it, but he came through in the end. I loved meeting all you girls and boys over the last couple of nights. My aim is to meet all the Damienites and I guess I only have about 450 more to meet. I will get there slowly.

Greenleith wrote: "...demonstrates how cheeky he is,and what a great and generous sense of humour he has. It made me laugh - I found it not the least bit worthy of "the cringe factor"..." I couldn't have said it better Greenleith! Thanks for the vid Ozbrat! I just love it. Being able to send himself up like this makes Damien even more incredibly seductive to me, if that's at all possible! I'll treasure this vid, much as I actually loathe the song.

Ah Braffy, you're a gem to sit down and write your recap of the concert when you're not feeling well. Thank you so much for that and I hope you're feeling better soon. Thank God you made the train and I'm guessing that some serious sleep is in order for you before Sunday.
Take care of yourself. xx

OMG Braffy - tell me BF isn't pricing chrome poles!!!!! Guys, he is a nice guy! I don't know what got into him last night with all that pole talk - oh yes I do - it was you lot !!!! ha ha about Damien's witteh banter! I think last night we were all so tired after the exciting week we couldn't post! But I remember Damien talking about the taking off his shirt and saying we'd be running screaming out of the room Was that you Oz calling out FUNTARSTIC - we were all laughing our heads off up the back when you did that, but we didn't know who it was - and then Damien says "The front row - we're keeping an eye on you all you know!" I thought I had all this on audio record - but it didn't save Oh yes, leave it to me to stuff it up the night of teh banter. And regarding Celebration, I'm having a terrible time getting the size right for web, so will do that on the weekend so you can all see the further back full version. I love it - it is really touching how Damien is so wary at first, then gets into it, then really trusts the audience enough to laugh with him as he starts jumping - it was just brilliant, we all loved him even more if that can even be possible!

Just watched the celebration video. Thank you so much for sharing it. I think as someone said before, Damien was burying some demons. He did not look sure with what he was doing, especially at the end but the crowd response would have boosted him so much and hopefully erased some of the bad memories from that night. And though celebration in itself was not my favourite of his idol songs, he was in the genre and gave it 110% and the audience had fun..Darn Mark and Kyle have a lot to answer for. But its Damien that has the last laugh.

Someone in our row said something and Damien said "Someone down here just said (blah). I'm watching you lot!" What did that person say?! I completely missed it, Damien talked too fast! It sounded like "Is that a ____?" OMG That was directed towards me. Damien asked us all how we were doing tonight and everyone started yelling out "GOOD!" "GREAT!" etc, and Dede -the bad influence she is- said to me "say furntastic", so I yelled out " FURNTASTIC!!!"..... but I said it just as the crowd had stopped yelling responses. So Damien looked down and said "Is that an Irish accent I hear?" or something like that. I actually don't know what he said exactly because I was burying my face in embarrassment. 'Tis a true story. And whilst Oz was burying her face in her hands, I was laughing so hard it hurt. Hurt SOOOOO good, as they say in the classics. And Dame seemed to think so too. (Funny, that it is).

It sounded like "Is that a ____?" He was being very witty! I like how he handled the "Take you shirt off!" situation (it wasn't us, unfortunately, it was a bloke ) D: (takes guitar off) Slip into something more comfortable! (does cute action) I'll leave it at that, there are kids in the audience. Bloke: Take your shirt off! D: Take your shirt off?! That's the third time someone's said that! I haven't been working out as much as I used to; now it's only 6 days instead of 7. You don't want to see what's under here; if you did, you'd all be running for the door. You think it's funny, but it's true." On top of that and Celebration, he sang part of Oaklahoma edit: Snap, A2! ;D Last night (Friday) Dame said something along the lines of, *ooh, you should have been here last night, they got me to take my shirt off, and the blinding white light sent people running out the door*

I just love it how he looked a bit unsure at the start but then let loose and did a jump and smiled and laughed! One more reason to love this man I suppose. As for Mark and Kyle - heaven help them if i ever see them
