winter - instead of saying 'cheese' when the photo was taken we were saying 'permission' (only kidding but we all agreed at the time, so no worries there)

I should add that Mark is really nice and I enjoyed his set - his songs are very catchy, after only one time I recognised them again the 2nd night I had Cellophane Life stuck in my head all the way home last night , and this morning it was joined by Crazy ;D I wish Such a Bore had been on the cd. I wish Damien hhad sung These Days, Fool or Creep. But ah, well...we got Celebration!

I don't think I can add anything more to what has already been said - I really enjoyed it and Damien voice is so strong and pure. The stand out for me was Crying and must confess to having a "little weep" during If Tomorrow Never Comes and bopping along in my seat to Celebration (and trying not to knock the poor gentleman who was sitting next to me). I also like his originals (so did my daughter).
One question - did anybody catch what was on the banner that some people sitting on the right hand side of the stage held up towards the end of the concert?
Mark was very good and I really like his second last song but cann't remember what it was called. My daughter also thought he was "hot".

okay - i forgot to mention that yesterday Wombat told me in the Hut that Mark had a song for me (that's relevant later) so i phoned braffy as gj wasn't answering - and sorry bg, but yet again i lost your number !! braffy said there were 3 women in Subway and i couldn't miss them. i saw two elderly dears with one younger woman - "oh one's in red" "no, ones in black and ones in white" and then from around a corner i saw another group of 3 women who just looked 'the part'. towering over me was bubbly ah2, then there was the delectable Oz and the delightful Crushangel - who i pounced on because i wanted to hear her account of her backstage encounter. after they'd bought their dinner, we took the lift up to gj's room. in the foyer we bumped into a very official and professional looking woman. "hi, you must be Dede - i'm Crazy" DD handed us our tickets (she had decided where we all would sit and put our names on the tickets). i felt trepidation as we walked towards gj's apartment. The Damien picture on the door was small and tasteful, phew - and the mob inside were more than welcoming. BG told me off for not ringing her (we have met before) and we exchanged 'long lost friends' hugs. braffy did not disappoint - as vivacious and full of beans as one would imagine. gj was wonderful warm & welcoming. we sat back and chatted. the conversation flowed smoothly as we had a bitch fest about all you other Damienites . we were just waiting on hyperrune and irishscorpio. but not for long. soon enough the lovely hyper came into the room after discarding her dad somewhere (possibly at the pokies , kidding) and we made our way down to swoon citys showroom. we placed our bottoms on the seats that Dede had allocated us and somehow i was sitting all by myself, so Dede gave me permission to upset the seating plans. in fact she kinda directed me to the middle seat. i was very disappointed to discover that my legs were too short to rest on the stage, unless i really slouched down. i'll give you another break to digest and then onto ... my latest love Mark Wilkinson

I think the banner was We love damien - or something like that. it wasn'y anything out of the ordinary.

Hey Oz - i think I was the E . am i right? anyway, so to begin with Oz was the I and nobody was the N. As Mark came on stage Oz declared that she had no batteries in her camera and made a hasty retreat. Ah2 must have been the M at that stage. As the lights went down, the missing Damienite - Irishscorpio came in and sat down next to me on the N. Mark WIlkinson came on and introduced himself (noone was going to ask who he was tonight) and sang his first song. He has a really nice pleasant voice, and he is pretty cute. Then he said that the second song was a cover (i can't remember, is it called Go Crazy?) and that he was dedicating to a "certain lady who is in the front row tonight and who's name is Crazy something or other... this is for you" - my first thoughts went to Wombat, but it turns out the culprit was gj braffy okay so that was my night.
