I love Beautiful too, both versions. Would have loved him to do the acoustic NJFTW or even Song For Jarvis (one of my all time faves), but he really was breath-taking last night.  OMG..24 Hours From Tulsa sung by Gene Pitney is one of those songs that has heaps of history for me. I love it.  His unique voice is really amazing. Thank god I didn't hear it mangled last night. I would have cried. I would have adored D singing it to, Myst. and calling them Idols does seem a little odd, Oz2. After all, There Can Be Only One! |

Had to tape it cause i was out last night...watched it not long ago and Damien was just...absolutely perfect!   .. and he no doubt looked hawt! ;D Darren Hayes was great, loved Carls . I thought Natalie was good, Matt was also pretty good. |

Ohhh love your siggy Kris!!! ;D Am I too late to catch the tail end of the nirvana eclipse?  It was like old Sunday nights all over again! The anticipation! One of the hosts said "Next up is Da-" *holds breath" "-niel Myfsen" *lets out breath and goes back to snoozing* And then they had him backstage on the couch and he did this cute little eyebrow lift and I was going squeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!  ;D He looked gorgeous (no funny brown shoes, my mum was glad to note) I had a stupid grin on my face, it was gorgeous! Teh stare!!! and the close ups! Kerry Anne, we are eternally grateful! I assume there was some kind of policy where he couldn't sing stuff on the album that he hasn't released as a single yet. Would've loved to have heard SLTS or The Long Way Back. But ah well. Damien is still Damien The rest were pretty dull - I was only waiting for one man ;D - though Jess tore it up in the Young Divas and Natalie was goin' off! But I know who the highlight was!  Anyone gonna bid on those tickets and backstage passes?  |

Thought Damien was definitely a "class act" tonight and must confess didn't really notice much else on the show, except Jess is looking good and Vanessa sounded pretty good too.....nice she has that Jeans contract too. L ved D though  |

Meh - to me Daniel is 'scarf boy', just like Carl is 'Trumpet boy' and Matt is 'Pretty boy' - for weeks I was like 'who the heck is Daniel? Do they mean scarf boy?'  Damien has said he would never release Songbird as a single, it was just on the album to be enjoyed. If this is true, it means that he couldn't sing any of the other songs - except 22 Steps, which has already been released, AIWIY, which is about to be released, and Danny Boy, which will likewise never be released as a single - because he means to possibly release everything else as singles. Which is a good thing  |

Btw I love how he does the jazz phrasing on the 'I love you's! It sounds so nice! You could really see he was so happy to be singing that song, obviously Eileen and the boys were on his mind! He had this misty, kinda shy little smile on his face ;D

Isn't that the pic on the wall backstage at idol? I always see it when they show the idols on the lounges out the back  Just looking at the auctions now. I know it's for charity but look how many they've listed  There's 65 double passes which means Damien has to talk to 130 ppl  I think that's a little too much, he needs his voice to sing  |
