The package was everything I hoped for and more. Great to see all the old photos and videos of him and his family!

And... well, I think we all know why he picked the Alex Lloyd song now. Great to see him rocking out a bit more than he has in previous weeks and the audience really got into it from the start. Can't wait to hear the other two songs now!

Loved the video package Jess's was lovely too! Very emotional.

Great performances so far, they both look so relaxed. Damien is awesome as usual! Anyone else loving that the judges can't say anything?

Yeah - the second best thing about tonight (Damien being the first, of course!) is that the judges can't tear anyone down. LOL @ Kyle not understanding the "stupid monkeys" thing.

I have to say, watching Jess and Damien perform, I think Australia got the right 2 in the final. *nods* I could be a little biased with that, of course...

Damien singing now - "Waiting on an Angel" - singing with guitar again, it's divine, divine, divine and as we thought... BETTER than Ben Harper.

Don't anyone ever ask me again my favourite Damien song - with these ones tonight as well, it's just an impossible task!

not taking anything away from the HAWTTNESSS, I had my eyes closed the whole time. Seriously, he must have one of the most beautiful voices ever. It would be a crime to never release it.....

now that was beautiful! I really didnt like the original of that Angels song but Damien could have been singing an entirely different song! Fantastic

Jes on now singing "Together Again" - happy little song, she's again doing a nice, bright effort. Her low notes aren't right on, but she has lovely sparkle to her personality which is shining.

Damien on now with his Winner's Single! "NIGHT OF MY LIFE"

shooting star - oooooh this one is now *my* song, girls - that's close enough to shimmery star for me! *fangurl happiness moment*

Damien's version is SO different and this time I LOVE the song - it's very Damien in sound, he's backed by an acoustic guitar and now a heavier guitar into the chorus. Can't believe the same song can sound so different!!!!

Ah, it's a really solid winner's single - I'm really pleased Damien got to finish the song with an exclamation mark tonight!!!! He's done it!!!!!! This version's got momentum, the band members are smiling as they play....
