I'm excited too and thank you so much for offering to do a running commentary for us interstaters. I'm half an hour behind so I'm here waiting (plus darting off to do things for the kids lol). Damo is going to be amazing, I can feel the excitement building.

OMG. Damo's outfit deserves to win Idol. And I rather like the winner's single, although I had a bit of a giggle at the "star" line. I can sort of see what Damien might be planning on doing with it. *jumps up and down* I can't wait to see his jouney package next! |

To anyone playing the winners song drinking game, I nearly choked on the amount of vodka I had to put away in the opening couple of lines....I mean, the title alone was worth a triple.... but then, I didnt really have to drinnk again That song sounds written for Jess, cant wait to see what D does with it...and cant wait to see his Idol Journey clip..... |

Jess is first - a really lovely package about her "Idol Journey". She's singing the singer's single - singing it very well, but the song seems a little bland to me. Unlike "Angels Brought Me Here" which I liked immediately, this song seems to lack punch. I do think it's a lot to do with the arrangement and I get the feeling Damien can do a lot with this arrangement. Damien next  winter, I thought of your drinking game during the beginning of that song LOL!! Oooooh seeing Damien singing Sky with the family band AND his grad pictures from uni AND his wedding pics with Eils!! GORGEOUS |

Ahhhhhhh - the "Idol Journey" piece for Damien was just divine!!! And now he's singing "Never Meant to Fail" - and seriously, it's better than the original!! Our Damien is a S-T-A-R!!!!! Damien's like an athlete peaking at the right moment to take home the Gold Medals at the Olympics - he is PERFECTION tonight!! Audience is thrilled, he looks really happy. Damien's Mum, Wife, Dad & Brother are in the audience - he says if he thinks about that too much it will be a "night of tears". |
