Yep, apparently there is now an official Damien Leith Fan Club or so someone with the username of aaa is saying on the official site. And guess what? There is a membership fee of $30.00 and you could be in the running to receive a phone call from Dean.  The fan club site has a very similar interface to the official site, same pic of Damien etc. I've just replied to aaa after a lot of editing of my message, I couldn't post what I'd originally written! BTW Winter, well said, I loved how you put aaa in his/her place so gracefully. ;D |

Hehe yeah I saw that too. And I don't think I could handle a call from Dean. I'd be too scared I'd abuse him so much haha.

Well...I just asked for 3 leeetle things.... - for Dean fans who have joined this scheme to pipe up and let us know how fabulous it is and how it is worth even more of our cash
- for the official site to endorse the official fan club...because, as its all official, someone must be...officialising it! bwah! I'm drowning in officialness....
- and for Dean not to call me. Ever.
I will happily eat some tasty humble pie when all 3 criteria are met. In fact, I will eat my humble pie while punching in my credit card numbers and joining yet ANOTHER forum (the official fan club forum!) in D's honour! Hooray for spending! |

Officially, Officialdom doesn't do much for me..however,fandom does..so will join the Officially sanctioned ranks..in fact will join ANYTHING relating to Mr Leith...especially long lines for his album when it's released!

The aaa is probably an acronym for Access All Areas which is the driving force behind the official fan club site. www.accessallareas.net.au/ This site doesn't look too bad and there is no membership fee required, only for the Damien and Dean fan clubs! I see that aaa has become a member here which is a good thing. I'm hoping that we can have a chat to him/her about the official fan club site and the reason for charging a $30.00 membership fee. Let's face it the common denominator here is that we are all Damien fans and have his best interests at heart. So aaa, please say hello, we would love to talk to you. |
