I've gone back and had a look around Damien's official site forum and can no longer find the thread there about this "fan club". It's either moved or has been removed - if anyone else sees it there I'd like to know.
The web site seems to still be missing - just a blank background.

Yes, I spend a lot more time on this site! I think they probably need to update the official site a little: we seem to get more of the most recent Damien news over here.  |

I love the fact that damien has an 'official' site but I hardly go there ..... I hardly go to the shannon official forum now .... i don't know why. But this place is still friendly and it's still 'weird' over there ... I feel bad.

I feel bad. same here, I feel like I should contribute over there or something, but D knows we are all here, and were here from the start, well on AI forums for some of us, so I think I will just stay put. About 90% of the 'official' site's content consists of random inane rubbish that has nothing to do with D, is not helpful in any way to anyone, serves no conceivable purpose, and seems to be written largely by people who have no ostensible interest in Damien whatsoever. The other 10% is good, but is largely made up of contributions by regular DOL members anyway. The official site is more Sony BMG's than Damien's. Your site will always be his 'spiritual' home Neski. I've got one word to say to you: 'Hardcore'. |

However, the conten of the members' posts are so random and too boring... I don't know... it's just that I don't connect with them and cannot hold a fun or meaningful conversation. Hi Guys  Lol, actually my post was about that "Official" fan club thread at the official site - remember the guy charging $30? So I just wanted to check in and see what was happenning in that thread but it looks like the thread about that club is no longer there! As for the official site's forum itself, I agree the posters there on the whole don't seem to be particular Damien fans, their siggies have all sorts of singers and people on them, it does seem very random. However I like to pop in from time to time to show support but for me this is the one and only forum to catch up with the Damienites, we've been here all the way through and that bond was already established before the other site began. So - just wanted to know - has anyone heard any more about that club which was charging $30? |

At this point, since we haven't heard anything from anyone regarding this, I think it's safe to say the whole thing was a load of money-grabbing nastiness. Because surely SonyBMG couldn't be this slack with important, money spending-related updates? And I really wish I'd been ruder to that aaa dude now.  |

I know from poking around on the site that about 30 people signed up to the Dean Geyer fan club, but none of them seem to be posting there any more. (Entered random things into username and password box and got to a page where I couldn't view the topics in the forum, but could view the member list and who was online. Great security there. ) |

This board is much better, I love the members here, we have a lot more fun, and Damien logs in on a regular basis - all good reasons for me to stay over here. ;D Why can't we be the official Damien Leith site? |
