Yeah! So it looks to be selling well... that's great news!  I'm also really hoping that NOML is just something they're releasing to commemorate the 'Idol' part of Damien's career, and that it won't be on his first real album. As much as I'm coming to *gasp* love the song and couldn't imagine it as anyone else's but Damien's, it's probably not what he would have chosen for the album and leaving it off will give it a less Idol-y vibe and emphasise just how different Damien is from any other winner. And that can only be good for him. And I still can't get over them including Come To Me, which just makes the single... my mother has heard the full song all of two times she happened to be in the room while I was playing it, and she's had it stuck in her head for days. ;D And if Sony was happy to put that on there as-is, I'm very hopeful that they'll let Damien have a lot of creative control over his actual album. Well, my mother is out at the moment, and I'm hoping she'll have a little present for me when she comes back, if ya know what I mean. Otherwise I'm going to be heading down to certain ARIA-accredited stores with a baseball bat....  |

SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.... excuse me for being a fangirl, but I get my copy of NoML. after nearly giving up (since the local stores do not have them), I found some in a store that's 90 minutes away from my place (I was going ice-skating with my friends but luck I check the store). Though I am kinda TICKED that they did not have the singles in the front, instead they put the stack behind other singles. So I took the whole lot of Damien's singles and put it in front where everyone can see them  . Honestly... the single I KEEP seeing is Nick Lachey's. It starts to annoy me... |

*joins in squeeeeeeing* I got mine today too (which I've already mentioned but, what the heck, I'm happy...). Well, my mother went out to buy it. There weren't any in Big W or Target when she went there, but she hung around in Target and visualised getting the single, and all of a sudden she spotted someone unpacking a box containing Anthony Callea's album (YAY!!!) and she asked if they happened to have Damien in and they had a box of his single too. And someone else heard her asking and wanted to buy it as well, which was even better. The annoying thing was that when my mother came home she refused to hand over the single until she had told me the full story. 'Cause she was so proud of her visualisation technique and all. It was worth it in the end. Come To Me sounded even more beautiful on the CD! And I'm really liking NOML more and more each time I hear it... And I'm not even going to share my thoughts on Nick Lachey, because I try not to be uncharitable after 9PM.  |

Hehe... the other day when my mother and I went out to get Damien and couldn't find it, we had a bit of fun finding Anthony, Shannon and Guy singles and stacking them in the top 3 places. I'm tempted to go out and put Damien in all 20 or so spots in Target some time. That's right - he's so good they had to clear out the entire chart to make room for him. ;D

How awesome is it that he has an original song on his first single....Looks like there will be some original songs on his album for sure then...

haha I've moved Pete Murray cds. I think i moved them to the the Number 1 spot lol and then in the the shelves I moved his little card and cds to the front!

Well I got my cd today! They were 2 bucks each ... which was fantastic so i bought 4 instead of 3 haha!! now each member of the family has their own The chick who served me (30ish) was a D fan too....she started talking to me about him and said she voted and also asked why I wanted them seperatly!? And I was like ... Oh so we can get him to the top haha! |

I am one happy little vegemite. I am typing this to the beautiful vocals of Damien in the background on my very own CD which finally came in today. They said they had sold 52 copies in the hour since they put them on the shelves. I don't think that is a bad effort at all. I also love Come to me which certainly seems to have benefitted by some studio time.

I haven't got mine yet....I went shopping the other day and they weren't in store yet...so I came home and decided to download them...well that was a waste of money as I couldn't play them..damn the license thingy wouldn't work..so I've given up on that....will have to go tomorrow to the shops and hope there is some left. by the way Neski...how did you get them for $2....is that all they cost...I haven't bought a single in a while.?? |
