OK I can't wait any longer. I had 2 of the albums on pre order and I have heard it and it is WOW ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D I can't see any reason for people to not like it. I grew up listened to the radio a lot when the original songs of these were playing so I knew most of them. I must say that I didn't know 'Longer' and 'Time in a Bottle'. I am not musically educated or anything ike that so I will not comment on riffs, solos or anythig that might come under the banner of technical. I have listened to it several times and it sounds better each time. I either like something or I don't. I LOVE THIS ALBUM I have lietened to it several times and Damien does a great job on every track. My personal favourites at the moment, because it will change many times over the next while, are 'Universal Soldier' (which was also my favourite from the Vanguard) and 'If'. I really like how Damien has changed 'Universal Soldier' to bring a classic up to the present day. Enjoy listening everyone. I must try and beg, thrash the life out of her if she doesn't ask Miss 16 sweetly if she will download Baby Jane for me with her I Tunes card. I will remind her about the Delta concerts I have taken her to - and it is Mother's Day coming up

I'm on my way out soon to get it and will be listening intently when I get home. It is a shame though, I don't / can't do the I tunes download. For those that can, have a fantastic time listening to it. We all know that Damien + original music =

Hooray! Miss 16 has said that she will get the download for me. this is an album that could be playing quietly in the background while you are having dinner or talking and it wouldn't 'be in the way'. It would be great if a lot of restaurants bought it and had it playing.

I LOVE IT!!! SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! So many songs that are just brilliant. I really love it, and have listened a few times now. I absolutely love.... Everybody's Talking, Wild World, IF, Guitar Man, Baby I Love your Way, Blowin' in the Wind, Old Man, Sunshine on my Shoulder (which surprised the hell out of me as I don't like Denver AT ALL!!) and Time in a Bottle. My god that's half the album that I like, ;D Usually an Album will only have a few songs 3-5 max that I'd really like, so this is fantastic. and what a sweety to mention us all again too in his Thank You's. Well done Damien

Firstly, I have to eat a little humble pie. Catch The Wind as a whole is better than I had thought it was going to be, after hearing the snippets. It has more light and shade than I'd anticipated. It has some absolutely gorgeous moments on it, and, much to my surprise and delight, it has songs which show Damien's range off beautifully and some which show a little of that power I've been longing to hear for a while..but still not a dead-set-lung-ripper.. maybe on the next album? The thing that makes me love this album most though, is the Damien-isation of some of my least anticipated tracks which have made them absolutely fantastic! I've never been much of a John Denver Fan, but his version of Sunshine On My Shoulders is magical. Such beauty! Also, Peter Frampton's Baby I Love Your Way is totally brilliantly interpreted by D. It is slower than Frampton's version, but this transforms it from a rocky pop song, with a heavy guitar emphasis, to lilting, smouldering ballad. I adore it! I love D's version of Glen Campbell's Everybody's Talking too... it's so laid back and sexy. Those high notes! Another pleasant surprise is Longer. WOW!! How beautiful is this song, especially in D's capable hands!! Ditto, for Time In A Bottle..I love Jim Croce's original, but D's version is so ethereally gorgeous, it makes me cry. The tones of his voice on these tracks are so lovely. These are just a few excited first thoughts about the album. I enjoy the whole of it, but need time to digest it a little more to comment further.
