Part 2. IF is stunning ..as I knew it would be after hearing it at the Vanguard. Also the title track, Catch The Wind is really pretty. Lovely tones again. So are And I Love You So and Annie's Song. The Times They Are A Changin and Blowin In The Wind do Bob Dylan justice..and that's a real compliment. Old Man and Only Love Can Break Your Heart (with the Choir Of Hard Knocks) provide a nice changeup with a fuller sound, and I really love the combined voices. Damien comes through loud and clear though. Univeral Soldier, Wild World, Father and Son, Vincent and Guitar Man I heard at the Vanguard too, and knew they would be great, which they are. In short, I think I really like Catch The Wind..Bravo, Damien! umm, let's make that I really LOVE Catch The Wind..more and more!

After having the album on repeat a few times, even the songs I was not as familiar with, are absolutely growing on me. Damien's interpretation of all the songs is just brilliant. My absolute fave is BABY I LOVE YOUR WAY I have always liked that song but Holy MOLY, Damien's version is just STUNNING!!!!! I absolutely love IF, I loved it at the Vanguard and the recording is just as beautiful. Wild World is definitely another favourite and Madison (miss 6) has already picked that as her favourite. Everybody's Talking is fantastic too as is Old Man. Oh and Time in a Bottle. I didn't know that song too well but the more I hear it, the more I love it. Just beautiful! DH is about to put them on my MP3 player so I can listen in peace later on when the kids are asleep Congratulations Damien, you are amazing as always!!!

WOW!!!! Got the album this morning and had a quick listen Now just again. Just had to sms Tina about it As I said befoe now, my all time favourite song is Annies Song. So on the way home I listened to it 3 times and I D has done an amazing take of this all time classic. Blew me away I can't say that I don't like any of the songs, and I'm sure they will all grow on me more as time goes on. Just need to get past Track # 2 DD, who is 11, thinks this is the best album so far Boy that girl has good taste She probably hasn't even heard most of these songs before. So there you go D, even the younger generation appreciate you as much as we do Off to listen some more

My thoughts on the album .... AMAZING / AWESOME / GORGEOUS / FANTASTIC / RELAXING!My fave tracks: If, Universal Soldier, Sunshine On My Shoulders. The tracks are fantastic, his voice once again is flawless and calming. It is definatly a wonderful compilations of fantastic songs, and I can not wait to hear them live in person. Magic will be in the room again. EDIT: Thanks Braff for picking up on my spelling mistake. Jeez, that's embarrassing

It's interesting how many different favourites there are amongst us! This has been a bad day for me to really concentrate on listening to the music, I look forward to school holidays being over so I can blast it out for a whole day!! I love the songs with The Choir of Hard Knocks, especially OLCBYH, Guitar Man is very poignant and my absolute favourite is BILYW!! BILYW could definitely be a single!! It is a very unique take on that song... and did I mention..... sexy!!! In fact, quite a few of these songs could be singles! Let's hope that happens!!

I raced in and bought 2 CDs this morning (even though I have 2 signed copies coming as well...ha) and have been driving around all day listening to it. It just gets better with every listen! I really love The Choir of Hard Knocks and just LOVE it that Damien did those two songs with them...the full choir sound is great, takes me back a bit to the bigger backing that Damien had on Idol. My favourites are Baby I Love Your Way (totally agree its a REALLY sexy version!), Father and Son (which made me cry at the Vanguard and is just as good a recording), IF (an all time favourite of mine, and I LOVE D's beautifully tender version), and Longer. In short...heck!...the whole album is terrific...can't WAIT to see where it debuts on the charts! Put it this way, I think there will be a bit more throwing after this one....
