Ah Belinda, we were very demure...NOT! There was great discussion of the crazy woman doing the grope coughkazcough LOL. And lots of reminiscing after hearing lots of the older stuff. But, I guess it's pretty tame compared to some other Huts I've read about Eeek! Gotta run and get ready for Dee Why... it's almost 3pm. Where has my day gone??? .... well.... you've seen mine Nuffy!! Yes , they had very well placed decor too, Tina. Damien certainly won't be losing those too easily

Sorry Kazza - I too typed something up last night and tried to post it but for some reason my computer froze and it all disappeared into the great black hole It was much too cold at 2 in the morning to start typing it out all over again so I gave up and went to bed Had a great night last night - it was lovely to meet Di at last and you too Kazza The pre show Hut was very nice - great food and very easy to spot Damienites wandering around in pre show coma On our way to the Waratah Room we ran into Indi and then when we were waiting to go inside and be shown to our seats who should come up the stairs carrying a humungous plate of chips but Jimmy ;D Was taking him ages to make his way through the crowd to get through the doors until I yelled out "Hey there's Damien!" Everyone in front turned around and Jimmy managed to sneak past them all without spilling a single chip It certainly was a tough gig As well as the various things that have already been mentioned, poor Damien had to compete with a number of extremely inconsiderate bar staff who were talking, laughing and throwing empties around in the bar just behind us through most of the first half of the show They started up again in the second half until my DH complained to the duty manager. Thankfully, we were able to enjoy the rest of the show in relative peace after that. Damien seemed to relax more in the second half of the show - I think he decided to "go with the flow" and sing whatever people wanted to hear, rather than sticking to what they might have planned to do (just my take on it). LOVED hearing Creep for the first time And Nessun Dorma was amazing I think Braffy left one song off the set list too - Damien did Danny Boy after much co-ercing from the audience towards the end. Also loved the little bit of George Michael's Faith he did when Jimmy and Indi were strutting their stuff on the catwalk "Well I guess it would be nice If I could touch your body I know not everybody Has got a body like you "It was also lovely of Damien to allow us all in for a chat after the show - I think poor George has finally conceded that there's just no point saying "no" to a Damienite Thanks George - you're a legend ;D Edit: Forgot to say that I have photographic evidence of the "grope" - well almost.........it's a little blurry and actually "post grope" but I'll put it in the C&A thread in a minute

I think I mentioned something about it being a request but I must have left if off the set list. It was the first encore I think. I will go and check. sorry everyone.

I left Danny Boy off my set list, even though I did refer to it later. My excuse is that it was extremely dark inside and I could hardly see what I was writing. Let's pretend that I wrote it on something else then and not on my list. It was also VERY distracting with the bar shits staff behind us.

Whooo Hooo! Great reports ladies. I'm so glad you got to see Damien after the show. I got the impression in Canberra that he wouldn't be doing any further after show meetings but hopefully that's not the case. Womby, love the way you distracted the crowd so that Jimmy could get through and all without spilling one chip. *Coughkazzacough* Do we have an arsegroper in our midst?

Thanks for the reports, ladies! Glad you had a great time, michele! ;D hmmm...gropage, huh?? Nuffy, you are so right about the way D sizes up his audience and gives them what they want. He is superb at it! That has to be the years of pub gigging experience coming out in him. Love it! There was no Gropage just a wee little pat at the end of the night he was laughing about it and asked had anyone taken a photo of it..ah no.... Even Damien laughed when he found out who it was ,that was you was it he says with a chuckle.
