Glawzy you are right, sounds like the play...that is what D indicated. Hey ODT go and see it....don't rule it out. You might get a surprise, it surprised a lot of people. The only reason why I am not saying what the play is about,is that I don't want to say what happens to spoil it for others. You still get the singing, just get to see the actor Leith in between. I think it is really clever.
Engage your curiosity, just go see it.

Its a stage at Palms, Braffy but he said it would be a concert there. JUST REMEMBER.....YOU NEED TO HAVE RAIN TO GET THE RAINBOWThe stage at the Palms is only a small one, barely able to hold a 3 or 4 piece band unless it has changed since I was there. The play needs a decent stage with room for a band and space to move in and around. I feel that it is The Parting Glass at Canterbury.

It must have changed since you were there Braffy. The stage at Palms is much bigger than the non-stage floor space at Chapel Off Chapel where they were very restricted - it wasn't even a stage, just floor space in front of the elevated seating. Check this out, although the seat layout is usually different for a concert. www.crownmelbourne.com.au/the-palms-at-crownJUST REMEMBER.....YOU NEED TO HAVE RAIN TO GET THE RAINBOW

D has said that "The Parting Glass" will be in theatre-type venues (like the space at Chapel Off Chapel) and larger venues will be more concert- style shows, still showcasing the "Songs From Ireland" album. As Glawz said, Braff, The Palms stage is actually one of the largest D has performed on. It's huge!

That stage in the photo wasn't the one I have seen Damien on. That stage is definitely huge.
I guess ODT will need to contact the venue.
I agree that the play is very well worth going to see. A combination of theatre and music. Great combo

I thought the same too, the stage at Palms was the biggest I had seen D on. I think when I first met you Braffy, or maybe when I first attended Palms it was smaller......I think...if my memory is correct. Glad to see everyone organising their shows . What is the biggest venue you have see. d at Braffy? Just curiosity.

I think the State Theatre in Sydney would be the biggest one I have seen Damien on.

The Hydro Majestic show on May 23 2015 is looking like being a full house even at this early stage.
We are going to this one and initially there were around 65 rooms available for accommodation at the hotel on that night however there are only 17 rooms still available right now.
On top of that the locals who do not need to stay there should add to a HOUSE FULL SIGN.
Should be a terrific night.

that sounds like great news. I'm very disappointed that I am unable to go to this particular one. One of those rooms would have been gone too.
Have a great time there Brian.

Fantastic news Brian, I know you will enjoy it. Hope the locals rally and fill the place. For it to be almost booked out early, does that mean there has been extra publicity around there?

A real party at the Hydro I'm thinking----Can't wait
