Have to agree with all that's been said by Braffy, 2damienfans and Glawz. We were very lucky to have front table seats, but I feel for the folks at the tables behind the ignorant group. They really did think it was all about them (I think part of the problem was that the manager knew they were spending up big on shots so didn't want to upset them, but he eventually had to as so many were complaining) I was also lucky that I'd seen the show before, so knew the dialogue. What a trooper Damien was with all that was going on and his singing was as solid and beautiful as ever. A young couple Braffy and I had met at a couple of earlier Damien shows were pretty upset by the overt and rude behaviour of the table next to them. My SIL however is now a Damien fan and I ran into a woman I knew from our college days almost 50 years ago . Was terrific to see the familiar faces and was lovely to catch up with the gorgeous Eils and Damien. HAPPY BIRTHDAY EILS for Nov 30

A special performance of The Parting Glass at Riverside Theatre, Parramatta 20/03/2016 to coincide with St Patrick's Day. This was a matinee performance at 3pm on a Sunday afternoon - PERFECT. I arrived at the venue and after picking up my tickets it was lovely to see Eileen there with the children. Damien during the show mentioned that they were there and how they had wanted to see The Parting Glass for ages but because the show was always on at night it wasn't possible. With it being a matinee it made it possible. There was a good sized audience there and it was with great anticipation I waited for the show to start. (My last time and I thought final time of seeing it was marred by the loud, inconsiderate people on the table next to us who thought the show was only for them). I wasn't disappointed. The show, even though I could probably recite it myself was as good as any of the times I had been before. Damien and the band were all playing well. The 'old man' regaled us. There was a little change to the normal. Black Velvet Band was not in it but as a surprise Damien introduced Bing Crosby and then Galway Bay was sung. Damien joked with the audience about how many people had looked over at the curtain when he said 'introducing Bing Crosby' haha - the tricker. There was a lot of chatter around me when it was interval and the comments were all about Damien's voice. When he sang Crying, it was the best I had heard it in a while. It is always good, but there was something about the one in this show. Danny Boy was breathtaking as was The Auld Triangle. There were no bad songs in it, so I really shouldn't be picking out any. I am so glad that I managed to go to this concert, it has erased the bad memories of the last show which had nothing to do with Damien's or the bands performance but the lack of respect on the next table. My friend enjoyed the show. It was the 2nd time she had been to The Parting Glass, having seen Damien in other concerts and she is going to the ROY Show in April. Thank you Damien and band for all the magical shows that you put on of The Parting Glass.

Ahhh it was lovely that his kids were finally able to see the show. Thanks for your review Braffy and the funny little asides that Damien likes. I'm glad you were able to see this after the other show with the inconsiderate folk. A special finale for you all
